They say love wins, but yesterday, love didn't just winβit found a permanent home right here in the Municipality of Bauan.
Looking back at our recently concluded 2nd Bauan Pride Celebration, our heart is overflowing with immense gratitude, pride, and joy. For so long, many members of the LGBTQIA+ community have looked for spaces where they could truly be themselves. Yesterday, Bauan became that sanctuary. You could feel it in the airβthe overwhelming sense of acceptance, the freedom to love out loud, and the comforting embrace of a community that says, "You belong here."
Our day started with a burst of energy at the Municipal Grounds for the Pride March, a beautiful sea of colorful and vibrant outfits moving together toward the Hon. Julio M. Cruzat Mini Coliseum. Pride is more than just a party; it is a vital reminder of our shared humanity, a celebration of our struggles and triumphs, and a declaration that we are stronger together.
The energy inside the coliseum was absolutely electric! We kicked off a showcase of pure talent with our Make-Up Contest, highlighting incredible artistry in both the Commercial and Bridal categories. And of course, the crowd went wild for Miss BIGaytin 2026! This wasn't just a pageant for our beautiful plus-size queensβit was a bold statement on true inclusivity, body positivity, and breaking barriers. Every single candidate proved that beauty and grace know no size!
This historic day would not have been possible without the people who championed our vision. A massive and heartfelt thank you to our Local Government Unit, headed by our visionary Mayor, Hon. Wendah Katrina Rivera-Dolor & Our MSWDO Head Ma'am Ivan Michelle Acleta- Naynes . Thank you, Mayor, for standing with us and ensuring that Bauan remains a progressive, inclusive, and loving home for everyone.
We also send our warmest appreciation to our esteemed Guest Speaker Hon. Jomari Arce for inspiring us with words of empowerment, and to our distinguished panel of Judges namely, Ma'am Alyanna Caringal, Sir Adama Balasa, Sir Nikko Sulit, Pres. Yape Yuzon, and Georgia Reyes who had the incredibly tough job of scoring our fiercely talented contestants. Thank you for lending us your time, expertise, and hearts!
We also extend our deepest gratitude to the MSWDO, Bauan PNP, Bauan Fire Station and MIO for marching alongside us during the parade, ensuring our safety, and showing their genuine solidarity with the community.
To our generous sponsors, thank you for fuelled by your immense support. Your contributions and belief in our cause helped turn this dream event into a colorful reality, and we are deeply grateful for your partnership in making this day a massive success.
