PROMOTING HYGIENE, SHARING CARE. ❤️

Philippine Red Cross – Batangas Chapter, through its Lipa City Branch, conducted a Hygiene Promotion Lecture and Gardenia bread distribution at Muzon Elementary School, Bataan Elementary School, and Hugom Elementary School in San Juan, Batangas, last October 8, 2026.

Through hygiene education and the simple act of sharing, the activity aims to promote healthy habits and remind learners of the importance of proper hygiene in keeping themselves and their communities safe.

STRENGTHENING FIREFIGHTERS’ READINESS TO SAVE LIVES. 🚑

Philippine Red Cross – Batangas Chapter Administrator Ronald Generoso and Mr. Chester Keith Villafuerte met with FSUPT Glenn Salazar, Deputy Director of the National Fire Training Institute (NFTI), and members of its Academic Faculty and Training Directorate at Camp Vicente Lim, Calamba, Laguna, to discuss a potential partnership integrating Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) courses into firefighter training.

This collaboration aims to equip future firefighters with essential emergency medical skills, strengthening their readiness to respond effectively and save lives.

Marking a milestone for the Philippine Red Cross Batangas Chapter, the first-ever Basic Drone Operation for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) training was successfully conducted on October 14–16, 2026, Sto. Tomas Rescue Base Oval, City of Sto. Tomas, Batangas, with 12 completers.

The three-day training focused on the safe operation of drones, laws and regulations governing drone operations, drone maintenance and troubleshooting, and the practical applications of drone technology in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), including Search and Rescue (SAR) operations. Through these essential competencies, participants gained valuable knowledge and skills that can support disaster preparedness, aerial assessment, and emergency response.

The Philippine Red Cross Batangas Chapter congratulates all 12 completers for their commitment to learning and strengthening their capabilities in humanitarian service. This pioneering initiative marks another step toward integrating technology into disaster response and building safer, more prepared, and more resilient communities.

IN PHOTOS | World Restart A Heart Day 2026

In celebration of World Restart A Heart Day, the Philippine Red Cross – Batangas Chapter, Nasugbu Branch conducted simultaneous CPR awareness and training activities on October 16, 2026 at Tala National High School and Dr. Crisogono B. Ermita Senior Memorial National High School in Nasugbu, Batangas.

A total of 318 participants—composed of students, teachers, Red Cross Youth Council (RCYC) members, and Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP)—joined the activity, learning the life-saving skills of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the importance of taking immediate action during cardiac emergencies.

Together, we continue to empower communities through knowledge, preparedness, and the commitment to save lives—because every second counts, and every heartbeat matters.

The Philippine Red Cross – Batangas Chapter, Lipa City Branch joined the global observance of World Restart A Heart Day by conducting a CPR training for 247 students at the University of Batangas – Lipa City on October 16, 2026.

By equipping young people with the knowledge and skills to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), we are helping create a generation that is ready to respond when every second matters. Every trained individual brings us one step closer to a safer and more resilient community.

Every heartbeat matters.

In celebration of World Restart A Heart Day, the Philippine Red Cross – Batangas Chapter, Lipa City Branch conducted a CPR training on October 16, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the University of Batangas – Lipa City.

A total of 247 students learned the life-saving skill of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), empowering them to respond with confidence when every second counts. Together, we continue to build a safer, more prepared community—one trained lifesaver at a time.

With hearts full of gratitude, the "Salamat Po: A Donor Appreciation Gathering" was successfully held, together with the Unveiling and Turnover of the Philippine Red Cross – Batangas Chapter Lipa City Branch Ambulance, on October 3, 2026, at Silvercreek, Brgy. San Isidro, Lipa City.

The meaningful event was graced by Philippine Red Cross Secretary General Dr. Gwendolyn T. Pang, together with the officers of the Philippine Red Cross – Batangas Chapter, members of the Board of Directors, the Lipa City Branch Council, valued stakeholders, and generous donors.

The newly turned-over ambulance represents the Philippine Red Cross' continued commitment to strengthening its emergency medical services and delivering timely, compassionate, and life-saving assistance to communities in need.

This International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, the Philippine Red Cross – Batangas Chapter emphasizes the importance of preparedness in protecting lives and building safer, more resilient communities.

Disasters can happen at any time, often without warning. Knowing the risks, preparing emergency supplies, creating a family emergency plan, and learning basic life-saving skills can make a significant difference when emergencies arise.
