This Teenage Pregnancy Prevention Month, Alangilan Senior High School encourages every Akademista to make informed choices, value self-respect, build healthy relationships, and understand the importance of responsibility. Led by our school nurse, Nurse Iren Soriano, the campaign raises awareness about teenage pregnancy and empowers students to make responsible decisions that protect their well-being and future.

Let us remember that our choices today shape the opportunities we can embrace tomorrow. Prioritize education, pursue your goals, and never be afraid to choose a future worth working for.

Every Akademista deserves to be heard, understood, and supported. Today, Alangilan Senior High School held Dear October: Healing Starts Within, a Mental Health and Wellness Seminar promoting self-care, emotional well-being, and a more compassionate school community.

The program opened with the remarks of the School Activities Coordinator, Maโ€™am Sarah Jane Abaja, followed by an inspirational message from Sir Marvin Arsua, after that, SSLG President Ryan Jr. Lopez then delivered the statement of purpose.

Led by Ms. Hannah Grace Gracia, School Counselor Associate I, the gathering ended with the closing remarks from the SSLG Co-Adviser, Sir Jamor Paduit and reminded Akademistas that mental health matters and seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

May we continue to create a school body where kindness is practiced, struggles are met with understanding, and healing is encouragedโ€”because caring for ourselves is just as important as caring for others.

The ASHS community once again gathered at the school grounds for the weekly flag ceremony, marking another week of learning and growth.

This week's ceremony was led by Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), together with their adviser, Sir Jenri C. Pagcaliwagan.

Following the ceremony, the Society of Innovative Minds Gearing Towards Magnanimous Achievements (SIGMA) recognized the winners of the Portraits of Appreciation: Every Stroke, A Story of a Teacher competition, in honor of Teachers' Day.

Meanwhile, SIGMA, in collaboration with the Business Entrepreneurs Society (BES), also awarded the winners of the Mental Health Month competitions, which featured Spoken Poetry, Digital Poster Making, and Essay Writing.

The ceremony also featured the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O), which recognized the winners of its SPARKLEAN 3.0 initiative, continuing its efforts to promote cleanliness and environmental responsibility within the school.

Lastly, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) โ€“ Alangilan Chapter also recognized the Scouts who participated in the Jamboree-on-the-Air and Jamboree-on-the-Internet (JOTA-JOTI) 2026, held on October 17. Their participation celebrated the spirit of Scouting through communication, learning, and international fellowship.
