Today, Wagayway Equalityโs WE Transpire had the opportunity to engage in a meaningful Focus Group Discussion with the faculty researchers from the University of Batangas โ College of Nursing, alongside transgender leaders and community members.
More than just research, this space became a platform for stories, lived experiences, and truth-tellingโbecause data should never exist without the people behind it.
Right after, we headed to the Equality Desk for a visit and consultation, grounding our conversations in the realities of human rights, access to services, and protection mechanisms for the transgender community.
This is what collaboration should look like:
๐Community voices being heard
๐Research rooted in lived experiences
๐Action that bridges knowledge and advocacy
Maraming salamat sa patuloy na pakikiisa. Together, we move from conversations to concrete change. ๐ค๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ
