Today, Wagayway Equalityβs WE Transpire had the opportunity to engage in a meaningful Focus Group Discussion with the faculty researchers from the University of Batangas β College of Nursing, alongside transgender leaders and community members.
More than just research, this space became a platform for stories, lived experiences, and truth-tellingβbecause data should never exist without the people behind it.
Right after, we headed to the Equality Desk for a visit and consultation, grounding our conversations in the realities of human rights, access to services, and protection mechanisms for the transgender community.
This is what collaboration should look like:
πCommunity voices being heard
πResearch rooted in lived experiences
πAction that bridges knowledge and advocacy
Maraming salamat sa patuloy na pakikiisa. Together, we move from conversations to concrete change. π€π³οΈββ§οΈ
