Our Lady of Perpetual Help Children's Home

This institution was founded in Intramuros, Manila on June 27, 1961 and transferred to Labac, Taal, Batangas on May 30, 1962.

At present Our Lady of Perpetual Help Children’s home has a total number of 21 female children, whose age ranges from three to twelve years old. They are given temporary shelter and other services needed until they graduated from grade 6 or until parents/guardian are capable enough to take care and ready to take full responsibility. It was financed by unsolicited contribution of friends and benefactors as well as commodity assistance from other generous visitors in the home.

Children staying in the home came from broken and indigent family, product of unwanted pregnancy and orphaned either with father or mother. They came as far as Gumaca Quezon, Tagaytay and around Batangas Province.

Thus being in the institution, they are given the opportunity to enhance their physical, social, emotional, intellectual, moral and spiritual development to become more fully human.

BASIC GOALS

1. To provide residential care to a limited number of children until they complete elementary education.

2. To provide opportunities for formal elementary education.

3. To provide opportunities for developing skills, essential for working and living with others, so that they may be prepared to take their proper places in the family and in the community at the time they leave this residential setting.
