The Norwegian Shipowners' Association (NSA) Cadet Program is an unrivaled program with the objective of developing the next generation of Filipino maritime professionals through scholarship grants and the best maritime education. 30 June 2022 - LPU-Batangas' LIMA signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Norwegian Shipowners' Association (NSA) as an official NSA partner school. The outstanding performance of Lyceum International Maritime Academy, its state-of-the-art and modern facilities, equipment, and simulator, competent and expert instructors, and successful graduates are clear manifestations and compelling reasons for NSA to consider LPU-Batangas LIMA as its partner school. This partnership is a clear testament to LPU-Batangas' commitment to providing quality education and being one of the leading Maritime Higher Education Institutions in the Philippines.

These Viking rows are demonstrating our strength, implying that strength doesnโ€™t just come from individual talents but from an unbreakable collection of rhythm that has defined Norway for generationsโ€”moving as one, with unity and perseverance to conquer the high seas and achieve the set goals.

After all obstacles of selection have been passed, cadets being incorporated and learning the routines through the academy, The NSA 33rd Batch cadets now take their formal step in their maritime journey. The MOA Signing and Parentsโ€™ Orientation held at Lyceum International Maritime Academy marks their official welcoming, incorporation, and now the responsibility they have to commit in pursuing their maritime journey.

From June 21โ€“25, 2026, the BSMARE 32nd NSA Batch Cadets stepped into the workshop to transform theory into action. Through intensive training in hand tools and lathe machine operations, they honed essential technical skills, embraced every challenge, and discovered the value of precision, discipline, and craftsmanship.

More than just mastering machines, they built confidence, gained practical experience, and created memories that made learning both meaningful and enjoyable. Every rotation of the lathe and every tool in hand brought them closer to becoming the skilled marine engineers of tomorrow. โš“

The 32nd LPU-B NSA MARE Cadets successfully completed the five-day Introduction to Marine Auxiliary Machineries course, facilitated by C/E Allan J. Gallarte. The cadets demonstrated teamwork and a strong willingness to learn as they explored the essential machinery and systems that keep vessels operating safely and efficiently. The course also featured simulator exercises, allowing the cadets to apply their knowledge in a practical, shipboard-like environment.

More than an introduction to marine auxiliary machineries, this course strengthened the cadets' technical foundation and brought them one step closer to the practical demands of their future careers at sea.

The 32nd LPU-B NSA MT Cadets took the 5-day training for voyage planning and chart work facilitated by Capt. Rosendo Dalagan. The course was filled with professionalism with the simultaneous expression of cadets' creativity and objectivity to execute the task delegated for each group and stationโ€”consequently developing their voyage planning proficiency.

This course isn't just about gaining knowledge regarding planning an adequate voyage, but also an enlightening voyage itself that gave the cadets the necessary advancement to uphold the responsibilities onboard, one step closer to the practical side of their careers.
