On this 25th day of February 2026, we honor the brave Filipinos who, forty years ago, stood firm like steadfast mariners amid a raging sea of uncertainty to break the chains of dictatorship. Anchored in unity and steered by courage, they proved that even the strongest tides cannot overpower a people determined to reach the shores of democracy. Like a dove soaring above calm waters, the nation charted a new course toward peace and freedom.

As we celebrate the month of love, we want to appreciate your dedication on your passion of teaching, encouraging every cadets to pursue what they started. 𝗜𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀 | The LIMA English Society successfully conducted the second week of Waste Into Wisdom on February 6, 2026, at Wawa Elementary School.

Led by LES in partnership with the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) and the Green Thumb Club (GTC), the activity featured interactive sessions that repurposed used materials into learning aids, providing engaging and meaningful experiences for the pupils.

Aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), the initiative emphasized the value of teamwork and sustainability in creating positive and lasting learning outcomes.

LES Empowers Young Minds through Waste Into Wisdom

𝐈𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬 | The LIMA English Society successfully conducted the first week of 'Waste Into Wisdom' on January 30, 2026 at Wawa Elementary School.

This initiative spearheaded by LES, in collaboration with LIMA’s Finest and the LIMA Student Council, featured engaging exercises that repurposed used paper into learning tools, creating a meaningful experience for the students.

Aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), 'Waste Into Wisdom' highlighted the vital link between education and sustainability, demonstrating how initiatives of this kind can create a long-lasting impact on young learners.

𝐈𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬 | Carrying with them the weight of tradition and the spirit of maritime excellence, the Mandaraig Batch ’47 cadets successfully marked one of the most meaningful chapters of their journey—the recently concluded Ring Hop Ceremony at the Lyceum International Maritime Academy (LIMA) Gymnasium.

The ceremony, rich in symbolism and pride, highlighted the discipline, unity, and resilience they have built over years of training. With each hop completed, the cadets strengthened their pledge to uphold service, honor, and professionalism, stepping even closer to their future as maritime officers who will carry the legacy of their batch into every voyage ahead.
