With a strong spirit of volunteerism and public service, the Red Cross Youth (CRCY) proudly extended augmentation support and stood alongside the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Batad, the Batad Rural Health Unit (RHU), and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Batad Station throughout the grand celebration of the Municipality of Batad’s 77th Founding Anniversary and 3rd Panulo Festival, Working hand-in-hand with these dedicated government agencies, the CRCY actively contributed to ensuring public safety, maintaining order, providing on-site assistance, and supporting health and emergency response services for the community and festival guests.
Making the occasion even more memorable, the CRCY team also had the distinct honor and privilege of meeting Vice Governor Lee Ann Debuque, whose presence further inspired the volunteers to continue serving with dedication, compassion, and pride. This remarkable gathering brought together young humanitarian volunteers, public servants, and community leaders in one shared purpose to celebrate Batad’s rich heritage, ensure a safe and successful festival, and strengthen the bond of unity and cooperation across sectors.
It was truly an experience filled with purpose, pride, and gratitude, proving that when we join forces, serve with heart, and stand together as one community, we can achieve great things and build a safer, stronger, and more resilient Batad!
