𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗘 𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗛, 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗘, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗔 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗞

Behind every lesson learned is a teacher who chose to believe, guide, and inspire.

This 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝗗𝗮𝘆, the Information Technology Society celebrates the educators whose influence goes far beyond lectures, classrooms, and grades. Thank you for the patience behind every explanation, the encouragement behind every challenge, and the dedication that continues to shape students into the people and professionals they aspire to become.

Some lessons prepare students for exams, but the greatest ones 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺.

On September 29–30, 2026, ITSOC officers joined fellow student leaders for 𝗖.𝗢.𝗥.𝗘. — 𝗖𝗖𝗜𝗦 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 & 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀, a two-day journey of learning, collaboration, and growth organized by the CCIS Student Council.

From insightful leadership sessions to meaningful team-building activities, C.O.R.E. strengthened the skills, connections, and shared commitment of CCIS student leaders to serve with greater purpose.

As the two-day journey comes to an end, its lessons remain: lead with integrity, grow with others, and serve beyond the title.

Technology creates greater impact when knowledge moves beyond the people who already know it.

On 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 26, 2026, representatives of the Information Technology Society (ITSOC) shared their knowledge and digital skills during the 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 organized by the Junior Association of Hospitality Practitioners (JAHP).

𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗹 𝗧. 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁 (𝗕𝗦𝗜𝗧 3𝗔) and 𝗥𝗼𝘆 (𝗕𝗦𝗜𝗧 1𝗗) served as resource speakers, with 𝗥𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝘇𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗙. 𝗨𝗻𝗲𝗹 (𝗕𝗦𝗜𝗧 3𝗔) and 𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗼 (𝗕𝗦𝗜𝗧 1𝗖) providing assistance throughout the hands-on activities.

More than teaching Microsoft Office applications, the session demonstrated what student collaboration can accomplish: 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱.

The activity also served as a reminder that being an IT student is not only about mastering technology it is also about 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻, 𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄.

ITSOC expresses its gratitude to JAHP for opening its doors to this collaboration and for giving its representatives the opportunity to turn what they have learned into something that could be shared with others.

𝗠𝗠𝗦𝗨–𝗖𝗖𝗜𝗦 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝟲𝟬 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝘀 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Out of more than 200 entries nationwide, a team from the Mariano Marcos State University–College of Computing and Information Sciences (MMSU–CCIS) has successfully secured a spot in the top 60 of the early-stage project competition track at the Enactus Philippines National Competition 2026.

Representing the university are Marc Joseph B. Sacopaso, Juniene Gwyneth M. Basilio, and Angelo Laurence A. Palting, all of whom are Information Technology students under the guidance of their coach, Dr. Napoleon M. Cacanindin.

Following the Enactus policy that allows only one official entry per campus, all MMSU submissions underwent a rigorous evaluation process. FarmKonek earned the highest score to become the official campus representative. Meanwhile, another standout MMSU project, KFP Upcycled Products, secured the second-highest score and was named the alternate representative.

The team's qualifying entry is FarmKonek, an agricultural technology startup concept designed to empower local farmers. The project leverages crop pre-purchasing futures and risk prediction models to provide agricultural workers with direct market access and enhanced financial security.

With less than a month left before the event, the MMSU–CCIS delegates are actively refining their business models, pricing mechanisms, and presentation decks. They are set to compete on the national stage on October 9 and 10, 2026, at De La Salle University (DLSU) in Manila.

The Enactus competition serves as a premier platform for student leaders to showcase entrepreneurial action and socially responsible business models that drive positive community impact.
