💳 ROBLOX WALLET IS COMING!

At RDC 2026, Roblox announced Roblox Wallet, planned for late 2026, bringing a new way for creators to manage their earnings.

With Roblox Wallet, creators are expected to be able to:

💵 Receive payouts in USD
📊 Track earnings and transactions
🏦 Transfer money to a bank account
💰 Monitor their cash flow

One major change is that eligible payouts are planned to be made automatically every business day, giving creators faster access to their earnings.

🪪 AND THERE'S A ROBLOX CARD TOO!

Roblox also announced plans for a Roblox Card in 2027.

The card could allow creators to spend their Roblox Wallet balance wherever major cards are accepted.

🚨 Important: Roblox Wallet doesn't mean Robux can simply be converted into cash by everyone. It is part of Roblox's creator-earnings system, and eligibility and requirements will still apply.

At **RDC 2026**, Roblox announced **Roblox Everywhere**, a major step toward making Roblox experiences available across more platforms and easier to access.

One of the most interesting announcements is the ability for players to launch Roblox experiences **directly through a web browser**.

That could make sharing Roblox games much easier.

🎂🟥 **ROBLOX JUST TURNED 20… AND THEY BROUGHT BACK THE CLASSIC LOOK!** 😭🔥

For longtime Roblox players, September 2026 is feeling VERY nostalgic.

🎉 **ROBLOX IS OFFICIALLY 20 YEARS OLD!**

Roblox launched its public version on **September 1, 2006**, and two decades later, millions of players are still logging in every day to play, create, explore, and make memories. Roblox itself announced that September would be a month-long celebration of its 20th birthday.

But Roblox didn't stop at the birthday celebration...

👀 **THE CLASSIC ROBLOX LOOK IS BACK!**

Roblox has rolled out a new **“Classic” app theme** that brings back a nostalgic older Roblox appearance, including the classic Roblox logo and retro-inspired styling.

And here's the fun part:

👉 **Click the Roblox logo in the top-left corner of the app.**

Keep clicking until the logo changes to the old Roblox logo, and you can activate the Classic theme. Reports indicate that the theme is currently available to users without requiring Roblox Plus.

🕹️ **BUT IS THIS REALLY THE OLD ROBLOX UI?**

Well... sort of. 👀

The Classic theme brings back some of the visual nostalgia, but it **doesn't completely restore every part of the old Roblox interface or the full experience from years ago**.

🚨 **ROBLOX DEVELOPERS JUST GOT A POWERFUL NEW BAN FEATURE!**

Roblox has introduced a new **Device Blocking capability for the Ban API**, giving game developers another way to deal with exploiters, cheaters, and players who repeatedly evade bans.

Previously, developers could ban a player from their experience using Roblox's Ban API. However, a banned player could potentially create or use another account to return to the same game.

With the new **Device Blocking** feature, developers can apply a ban that also blocks the device associated with the banned player. This means simply switching to another account may no longer be enough to get back into the experience. 🔒

# # # 🛡️ How does it work?

When a developer applies a device block through the Ban API, Roblox can prevent the affected device from accessing the experience.

This gives developers a stronger tool against **ban evasion**, especially in games where exploiters or repeat offenders continue returning with new accounts.

Roblox has also stated that using the **Unban API** should immediately override an active device block associated with that user, allowing them to return to the experience.

However, developers and the community have already reported issues surrounding the new feature. One reported bug indicates that a device block may sometimes remain even after a user is unbanned, meaning the system may still need some fixes and improvements.

# # # 🎮 What does this mean for Roblox games?

For developers, this could become a major upgrade for moderation.

Games dealing with **exploiters, hackers, scammers, toxic players, or repeat ban evaders** can potentially have more control over who is allowed to return.

But there's also an important concern: **device-based blocking needs to be used carefully.**

If a player shares a device with siblings, friends, or other legitimate players, blocking the device could potentially affect someone who wasn't responsible for the original violation. This is one of the concerns developers have discussed on the Roblox Developer Forum.

Roblox's new Device Blocking capability was announced on **June 4, 2026**, and the announcement has generated significant discussion among Roblox developers.

FRDA’s position on the proposed Roblox ban has been featured by the Philippine Daily Inquirer 🇵🇭

We’ve been advocating for a more targeted approach to child safety: identify where the actual risk exists, strengthen the safeguards there, and take action against the people and systems enabling harm rather than shutting down the entire platform.

What role do Roblox game devs play in promoting child safety on the platform?

Among the other points raised in our position paper and remarks at the hearing, one recommendation we shared was the need for a clear escalation pathway for developers — so they know which warning signs require urgent action, what relevant information should be preserved, and where serious reports should be sent.

FRDA is willing to help bring that guidance to Filipino Roblox developers.
