Last March 13โ14, 2026, the Grade 10 and Grade 12 students of Mary Help of Christians Catholic School, Inc. held their recollection as part of their preparation for graduation.
The recollection began with an orientation and a brief sharing by Sr. Nguyen Thi B**g, OP, Christian Formation Coordinator. She guided the students into moments of reflection and sharing on the importance of the choices they make in their daily lives. She challenged them with these reflective questions: โWho do you see yourself becoming in 5 or 7 years from now?โ and "Your future depends on the choices you make today, so what must you begin choosing differently now?โ She also reminded them of Godโs constant presence in their journey and encouraged them to allow Him to guide their future.
The main recollection facilitator, Rev. Fr. MC Airel Capinpin, OAR, Assistant Parish Priest of Our Lady of Consolation Parish, gave the students the opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect with themselves and with God. It became a meaningful moment for the graduating students to recall and courageously face their inner wounds brought about by family struggles, broken relationships, and personal challenges that have affected their experience about God, their relationship with God and God's image in their hearts. The students were able to share the burdens they had been carrying and realized that they were not alone in their struggles. Through reflection and prayer, they were reminded that healing begins when we open our hearts and allow God to guide us.
Fr. MC also led the students in reflecting on the question: โAnong klaseng tao ang gusto kong maging?โ He emphasized that becoming a good person is not only about achieving success or obtaining high grades, but also about growing in kindness, integrity, and purposeโabove all, in following Godโs plan.
As graduation draws near, this recollection helped the students reflect on the path ahead, encouraging them to trust in Godโs plan, carry the lessons they have learned, and move forward with faith, courage, and hope.
The recollection was further enriched by the presence of the school principal, Mr. Edgardo B. Salinas, who reminded the students that beyond reflection and prayer, such moments create lasting memories that will remain with them even beyond college, strengthening the bond they have built in their alma mater. As they prepare to enter a new chapter in life, may they continue to carry with them the spirit of a true โBatang Mary Help.โ
As one community, we pray for a bright and successful future for our students who will soon become MHCCSian alumni. โจ๐๐
