“Service with courage, leadership with heart—this is the spirit of a true JDRRA.”

To our dear JDRRAs who are now stepping into a new chapter—congratulations on your graduation! 🎓 Your journey in the organization has been marked by dedication, resilience, and a genuine commitment to serve. From every drill to every response, you have proven that being a JDRRA is more than just a role—it is a calling.

Thank you for the invaluable service you have rendered. You have not only strengthened the organization but also inspired those who will follow in your footsteps.

On March 17, 2026, the Junior Disaster Risk Reduction Advocates, took part in the 1st Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill and Fire Prevention and Management Symposium, embracing the theme: “Duck, Cover, and Hold: Gawin Dapat, Pero Hindi Sapat.”

In partnership with the Bfp Caraga Barobo FS, represented by FO1 Jefrey S Togonon and FO1 Bryan Joseph R Moreno under the leadership of FInsp. Carlito S Dagsa, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, the activity was strengthened through their guidance and expertise. They also shared valuable insights on fire safety and proper emergency response, helping us become more aware and prepared.

Together with our school community and under the guidance of our advisers, we demonstrated coordination, discipline, and readiness in carrying out life-saving procedures.

A 5.0 magnitude earthquake originating Northeast of Marihatag, Surigao del Sur was felt on March 12, 2026, Thursday at 8:50 am, particularly by students in the high-rise SHS Building 1 of the school.

Immediately, Senior High School teachers, with the assistance of the JDRRAs, calmly and safely facilitated the evacuation of students following proper safety protocols.

After the evacuation, JDRRA Adviser Sir Ruta, SDRRM Coordinator Ma’am San Pablo, and School Facilities In-Charge Sir Rollorata, together with the JDRRAs, conducted a thorough building inspection to ensure the safety and integrity of the structure.

Thankfully, no damage was observed, and after the go signal, students were safely allowed to return to their classrooms.

Preparedness and teamwork once again proved that safety is everyone’s responsibility. 💪🚨

Safety first, always.

On March 1–3, 2026, As we prepare for Pasigarbo 2026 of Barobo National High School, the JDRRA visited different venues where the Mass Dance participants were holding their practices. They conducted short orientations about the participants’ roles during emergencies and shared knowledge on the proper protocols for assisting patients during the activity.

Through awareness,
coordination, and preparedness, we aim to create a secure, safe, knowledgeable, and resilient celebration. Because a successful Pasigarbo is not only colorful and grand — it is also safe and protected for everyone.
