📌 STMKBBI or Samahan ng mga Taong May Kapansanan sa Bayan ng Baras, Inc. serves as an official platform for support, information and advocacy for the PWD community in the Municipality of Baras, Rizal, guided by the following laws and initiatives:

● RA 7277 -Magna Carta for Disabled Persons
● Batas Pambansa Blg. 344 - Accessibility Law
● RA 6759 - White Cane Act
● RA 9442 - Amendment - include prohibitions against vilification and public ridicule of PWDs
● RA 10070 - Institutional Mechanism - establishes a mechanism to ensure the implementation of programs and services for PWDs in every province, city and municipality
● RA 10524 - Amendment - expands the positions reserved for PWDs in government and encourages private corporations to do the same
● RA 10754 - Amendment - further expands the benefits and privileges of PWDs
● RA 11228 - mandatory Philhealth coverage for all PWDs
● ILO Convention No. 159 - Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment
● UN CRPD - Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
