The Rotaract Club of Baras is a community-based, non-profit youth organization committed to developing a new generation of leaders driven by service, integrity, and excellence. It serves as a platform for individuals aged 18 and above to engage in meaningful civic action, strengthen leadership capacity, and cultivate professional

competence while advancing sustainable community impact. Established on April 7, 2022, and officially chartered on October 6, 2022, under the leadership of Charter President Jose Richard R. Bigasin III, the club was formed with a clear vision of uniting service-oriented youth from diverse academic institutions and professional backgrounds across the Philippines. Since its inception, it has grown into a dynamic and values-driven organization anchored in purposeful action and collective responsibility. The Rotaract Club of Baras operates under the guidance and sponsorship of the Rotary Club of Baras, and is an active member of Rotary International District 3800. In alignment with Rotary International’s global standards, the club upholds the principles of ethical leadership, service above self, and sustained community engagement. Guided by the enduring principle of “Fellowship Through Service,” the club implements initiatives focused on community development, youth empowerment, environmental stewardship, and humanitarian response. All activities are designed to address real community needs while fostering leadership excellence, civic responsibility, and collaborative action among members. Beyond its service initiatives, the Rotaract Club of Baras functions as a professional development institution for young leaders. It provides structured opportunities for members to refine competencies in leadership, project management, strategic communication, teamwork, and organizational governance—preparing them to become capable and principled leaders in their respective fields. Since its establishment, the club has remained steadfast in its commitment to excellence in service and leadership, continuously striving to create meaningful, measurable, and lasting impact within the community it serves.

In response to the continuous fuel price hikes affecting the livelihoods of many drivers, the Rotaract Club of Baras launched this project to extend assistance and show support to our hardworking tricycle and jeepney drivers who keep our community moving every day.

On behalf of the Rotaract Club of Baras, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who answered our call. Through your contributions, we were able to provide much-needed support and remind our drivers that their sacrifices and dedication do not go unnoticed.

When Rotary and Rotaract unite in service, communities move forward.

On May 1, 2026, the Rotary Club of Baras joined hands with the Rotaract Club of Baras to continue Project TODA Max!, building upon the success of its first leg and extending support to our hardworking tricycle drivers who continue to navigate the challenges brought by rising fuel costs and inflation.

Through this collaborative effort, 60 tricycle drivers received assistance in the form of 5 kilograms of rice, grocery packages, and hot meals, providing much-needed support and appreciation for their vital role in serving the community every day.

Beyond the distribution of aid, Rotary and Rotaract also strengthened their Public Image campaign by distributing People of Action photo materials and branding collaterals to local transport groups. These materials proudly showcase the commitment of Rotary and Rotaract to creating lasting and meaningful change through service while promoting both organizations as dedicated People of Action in the community.

Project TODA Max! stands as a testament to what can be achieved when Rotary and Rotaract work together with a shared purpose—to uplift lives, inspire hope, and demonstrate that service above self is more than a motto; it is action that creates a meaningful impact.

On April 25, 2026, the Rotaract Club of Baras successfully conducted the first leg of the Project TODA Max!: Rotaract People of Action, a community outreach initiative dedicated to supporting our hardworking public transportation drivers in Baras, Rizal amidst the continuing challenges brought by oil price hikes and rising inflation.

Through this first leg of the project, the club was able to extend assistance to approximately 40-45 tricycle and jeepney drivers, each receiving relief assistance consisting of 5 kilograms of rice and grocery items. This initiative was our way of recognizing and appreciating their invaluable contribution in keeping our communities connected and moving every day despite economic challenges.

As part of our Rotaract Awareness Campaign, the club also distributed promotional tarpaulins to various tricycle operators and drivers, proudly showcasing Rotaract as a movement of People of Action committed to creating positive change in the community.

More than providing aid, Project TODA Max! served as a reminder that service is most meaningful when it reaches those who tirelessly serve the community. Through collective action and compassion, we continue to uplift lives and strengthen our commitment to creating a positive impact, one project at a time.

From Baras to National Stage! Out of 9,467 active Rotaract clubs across the Philippines, the Rotaract Club of Baras proudly celebrates a remarkable milestone as an awardee of the GEAR (Groundbreaking and Exemplary Accomplishment of Rotaractors) Awards 2026 held in General Santos City, Mindanao. This prestigious recognition reflects the club’s unwavering commitment to service, leadership, and community impact, proving that even a small-town club can create meaningful change on a national scale.

Among our achievements are:
The Exemplary Club – Silver Distinction;
RPIC Seal of Excellence Award – Silver Distinction;
and recognition as Finalists for RICAP Best Action Photos.

Our signature projects, “I Care, You Matter: HIV/AIDS Awareness Symposium and Free Testing” and “Cinema and S’mores: Youth Mental Health Movie Hangout,” were also hailed as Finalists for Exemplary Service Project, highlighting our dedication to addressing critical health and wellness issues among the youth and community.

As we approach Philippine Independence Day and reflect on the future we are building for the next generation, we look back on one of our Rotaract Week 2026 initiatives that brought the values of community, inclusion, and child development to life: PalaRotaKid: Palaro para sa mga Bulilit.

Held on March 22, 2026, in Sitio Tamalan, Brgy. Rizal, Baras, the activity gathered children from the community for an afternoon of games, laughter, and meaningful social interaction. Through fun and engaging recreational activities, participants were encouraged to build friendships, practice teamwork, and enjoy the simple yet essential experience of play.

Beyond the excitement of the games, PalaRotaKid served as a reminder that every child deserves opportunities to learn, connect, and thrive within a supportive environment. By creating a space where children could freely engage with one another, the initiative promoted not only recreation but also a sense of belonging, confidence, and community.

As we prepare to commemorate our nation's independence, we are reminded that the future of our communities rests in the hands of today's youth. Often referred to as the hope of the nation, children flourish when they are given opportunities to grow, connect, and feel supported by the people around them.

Initiatives such as PalaRotaKid highlight the important role local communities play in helping children build meaningful connections and positive experiences that contribute to their overall development. Small moments of joy today can help inspire a brighter future for tomorrow.

The success of this initiative was made possible through the leadership and dedication of its Chairpersons, President Nominee Designate Kaye Cy Papa and Rotaractor Hartzell De Jesus, with the support of Club President Angelu Paula Napeñas, whose collective efforts helped create a fun, meaningful, and memorable experience for the children of the community.

The Rotaract Club of Baras once again joined Brigada Eskwela, this time during the Closing Program of DepEd Baras Elementary School. As part of its commitment to supporting education and community development, the club donated cleaning materials to help maintain a clean and conducive learning environment for the students.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Mrs. Joy Estacio, School Principal, and Mr. Fritz Leonard Tisang, Teacher, for inviting us to be part of this meaningful event. We look forward to continuing our partnership in serving the youth and the community.
