𝐁𝐈𝐃𝐀 𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐌𝐀𝐘 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐏𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐀— 𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐚, 𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐚!✨👊🏻

The BKD Seminar entitled "𝑩𝑰𝑫𝑨 𝑻𝑹𝑨𝑰𝑵𝑰𝑵𝑮: 𝑩𝑰𝑫𝑨 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒌𝒂𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑰𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒔𝒂 𝑫𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒂 𝒂𝒕 𝑨𝒏𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒍𝒚𝒂" was successfully held last October 10, 2025, at Amityville Multipurpose Hall, Brgy. San Jose. The event aimed to raised awareness among the youth about importance of staying away from drugs and other harmful activities.

Participants were invited to become BIDAs— role models who advocate for discipline and drug-free lifestyle— through this session.

The Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) caution the public regarding the emerging to***co product known as “Tuklaw” (Thuoc Lao), originating from Northern Vietnam. Laboratory tests reveal that while Tuklaw ci******es contain high levels of ni****ne—up to nine percent compared to the usual one to three percent in regular ci******es—the greater danger lies in samples that have been found laced with synthetic cannabinoids.

According to the PDEA Laboratory Service, ci******es containing ni****ne alone are not considered inherently dangerous. However, when mixed with synthetic cannabinoids, these products mimic the effects of ma*****na but are significantly more potent and hazardous. Reported adverse effects include psychotic episodes, hallucinations, seizure-like jerks, and involuntary body twitches.

Initial testing using Gas Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS) detected the presence of synthetic cannabinoids in Tuklaw samples. To ensure accuracy, the PDEA Laboratory Service has sought confirmation from both domestic and international laboratories using complementary techniques for definitive results.

As the lead policy-making body on drug prevention and control, the DDB will initiate the process of classifying Tuklaw ci******es containing synthetic cannabinoids as a dangerous drug under Republic Act No. 9165 and DDB Regulation No. 1, Series of 2014, in close coordination with partner agencies.

We urge the public to remain vigilant and help protect our communities, especially the youth, from substances that are addictive, harmful, and life-threatening.

𝘼 𝙑𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙖𝙙𝙖 𝙆𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙖 𝘿𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙖 (𝘽𝙆𝘿)!

The BKD Orientation has officially and successfully taken place, marking the beginning of another year filled with hope, unity, and commitment.

The program began with inspiring 𝖮𝗉𝖾𝗇𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝖱𝖾𝗆𝖺𝗋𝗄𝗌 from 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐣𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳, our dedicated 𝖡𝖪𝖣 𝖠𝖽𝗏𝗂𝗌𝖾𝗋, who reminded everyone of the true purpose of the organization to guide the youth in making wise choices and standing firm against the dangers of drugs.

Afterwards, 𝖡𝖪𝖣 𝖯𝗋𝖾𝗌𝗂𝖽𝖾𝗇𝗍, 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐁. 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳, shared the exciting lineup of activities and projects that the organization will undertake. Her message encouraged members to be active, cooperative, and passionate in every step we take as a family.

One of the most important highlights of the orientation was the Oath-Taking Ceremony. This solemn moment was led by 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐚𝐥 (𝖡𝖪𝖣 𝖵𝗂𝖼𝖾 𝖯𝗋𝖾𝗌𝗂𝖽𝖾𝗇𝗍) for the members, while 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐁. 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳 led the oath-taking of the newly elected officers. This symbolizes not only a promise but also a responsibility to uphold the values of BKD and to serve as role models for our fellow youth.

Indeed, the orientation was more than just a gathering, it was a powerful reminder of our mission. BKD is ready to face challenges and make a difference in our community.

SUSPENSION OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES | PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS - ALL LEVELS

Batay sa pinakahuling ulat ng PAGASA, patuloy pa rin ang nararanasang sama ng panahon sa buong Lalawigan ng Rizal, kabilang ang Bayan ng Montalban.

Bilang pag-iingat, suspendido ang face-to-face classes sa lahat ng antas sa mga pampubliko at pribadong paaralan sa Montalban sa bukas, Hulyo 28, 2025 (Lunes).

Sa ilalim ng ganitong kalagayan, muling ililipat ang klase sa alternative distance learning modalities upang masiguro ang tuloy-tuloy na edukasyon ng ating mga mag-aaral.

BAYAN NG MONTALBAN, ISINAILALIM SA STATE OF CALAMITY

Dahil sa epekto ng Habagat na higit na pinalakas ng bagyong Crising sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng ating bayan—kabilang ang malawakang pagbaha, at epekto nito sa mga kabahayan at kabuhayan—idinideklara ang State of Calamity sa Bayan ng Montalban batay sa SB Resolution No. 110 S. 2025 na ipinasa ng ating Sangguniang Bayan.

Naglalayon ang deklarasyong ito na mabilis na maikalat ang kinakailangang tulong sa mga apektadong barangay, magamit ang pondo para sa disaster response at rehabilitation at mapabilis ang pagbawi ng mga naapektuhan ang kabuhayan at ari-arian.

Sa gitna ng lahat ng ito, asahan ninyong patuloy ang pagkilos ng lokal na pamahalaan upang masigurong maabot ang bawat Montalbeñong nangangailangan.
