COASTAL CLEAN-UP & FEEDING PROGRAM 💛
We are grateful to the Lord for the month of August and what better way to end it then by giving glory to him through caring for his creation—both nature and his people. 🍂
Last August 31, National Heroes Day, the young people of Fair Havens Baptist Church Bantayan Island with some students from our college outreach ministry, Madridejos CoFellowship Community (MCC), and fellow, church organizations who share the same desire and vision, came together to serve and be a blessing to our community.
After the coastal cleanup, Pastor Walter shared the gospel and reminded us that we may not be national heroes, but we can still be a hero to our families, friends, and community by setting a good example and making a lasting impact on the next generation.
Even simple acts like caring for our environment, helping others, and being involved in our community can make a difference.
After the cleanup, we also had a feeding program and Bible storytelling, giving us another opportunity to spend time with the children and share God‘s word with them. 🥰
We thank the Lord for the privilege and opportunity to be a blessing to others. We are also thankful for our pastor and his wife, their family, and the church members who continue to carry the burden to serve.
A special thank you to our young people who willingly
set aside their previous time to be part of this activity.
And to our students from Madridejos Coffeellowship Community, thank you for taking the time to join and help us despite your busy schedules. We truly appreciate your willingness to serve!
May we continue to remember that being a blessing doesn’t always require something big—sometimes, it simply starts with being willing to help.
