🩸 #𝗦𝗣𝗦𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 | 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝘁𝗵, 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀

How can creative expression transform conversations around menstrual health? 🎨🩸

In Abra, Philippines, Youth for YOUth brought together young women, girls, and le***an, bis*xual, and q***r (LBQ) individuals, including members of the Tingguian Indigenous community, for the Tinggiana Initiative: Menstrual Health, Dignity, and Rights (MHDR) Education and Creative Narratives. Building on the momentum of the International Day of Action for Women's Health regional campaign, , the workshop created a space to continue advancing conversations on menstrual health, dignity, and rights.

Through dialogue and creative expression, participants transformed their lived experiences into powerful visual narratives—challenging stigma and affirming that every menstruator deserves dignity, respect, and access to their rights. 🖌️💜 The workshop concluded with a collective call to advance a Menstrual Health, Dignity, and Rights Policy in the Province of Abra, demonstrating how community voices can shape advocacy and drive meaningful change. ✊🌿

This activity reflects WGNRR's commitment to strengthening community-led efforts to transform narratives on menstrual health, dignity, and rights through the Sang Pour Sang (SPS) Project, with support from Fòs Feminista and the French Development Agency.

PROTECT THE DOLLS!🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️

On July 10, 2026, Youth for YOUth Advocacy Officer I Kylie participated in the Transfeminist Documentation and Justice Training organized by STRAP at The Plaza Garden Hotel and Residences.

The event brought together participants in an interactive and empowering space to discuss critical issues surrounding human rights, gender equality, and justice for transgender women and the broader LGBTQI+ community. Through comprehensive learning sessions led by STRAP advocates Ms. Gigi Marie Garcia and Ms. Selena Santos, participants explored fundamental topics such as feminist political education, international human rights mechanisms, relevant national laws, and the importance of Project Kierra in building protection networks and legal remedies for marginalized identities.

Throughout the training, discussions emphasized the need for ethical, survivor-centered, and trauma-informed approaches when documenting cases of gender-based violence and transfemicide. Participants actively engaged in group case studies and collaborative workshops, translating key concepts into practical action plans designed to raise awareness, strengthen community-based advocacy, and combat discrimination.

Beyond acquiring practical knowledge, attending this training reinforced the vital role proper documentation plays in holding systems accountable and achieving real justice. Youth for YOUth remains deeply committed to applying these insights to our work, continuing to advocate for policy reforms, safety, and a future built on equality and respect for all.
