𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞: 𝐁𝐒𝐀𝐌 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭-𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐩

Yesterday marked the successful culmination of the 3rd-year Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics students' practicum journey as they concluded their final On-the-Job Training (EOJT) requirement: "𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚: 𝘼𝙣 𝙊𝙅𝙏 𝙉𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣,” held at the Audio-Visual Room (Library), Aklan State University, Banga, Aklan.

Looking back to the start of the Second Semester of AY 2025-2026, these students began their journey with a rigorous Pre-OJT preparatory seminar that developed core competencies, professional conduct, and career readiness. This preparation ensured they entered the workforce not only with mathematical foundation but also with positive attitudes and practical insights needed for smooth industry integration.

Fast forward to today, the student-trainees stood proudly before the esteemed panel evaluation members to present their corresponding narrative reports. This presentation was more than just a graduation requirement; it was a demonstration of how academic mathematics directly aligns with industry needs. Through structured reflection, the student-trainees:
✅ Shared how they applied mathematical principles to solve actual workplace problems.
✅ Identified critical touchpoints where academia meets the corporate and technical fields.
✅ Evaluated their own technical strengths while identifying areas for continued professional growth.

To the esteemed resource persons during the Pre-OJT Seminar, 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛. 𝙍𝙝𝙚𝙖 𝙈. 𝙍𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙨 (Workplace Inclusivity and Safe Spaces), 𝙈𝙨. 𝙂𝙚𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙚 𝙀. 𝙅𝙖𝙜𝙤 (Professional Etiquette and Mental Health), and 𝙈𝙨. 𝙅𝙚𝙣𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙚 𝙎𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙏. 𝙑𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙞𝙖 (Career Competencies and Experiences), thank you for equipping the BSAM students with the essential mindsets for the modern workforce.

‎𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 (𝓢𝓘𝓐𝓜) held its 3rd general meeting for AY 2025–2026 on May 26, 2026 (Tuesday), from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at CAS Building, Room CB05.

‎The assembly reviewed the organization’s accomplishment report—highlighting the activities, events, achievements, and progress made throughout the term. Afterwards, the organization conducted the election of its new set of officers, as members actively participated in choosing the leaders who will continue to uphold SIAM’s vision and purpose.

Filled with aspiring leaders and supportive classmates, the room hummed with enough calculations to prove that every vote truly counts. The successful election reflected the organization’s commitment to accountability, unity, and growth. With a fresh leadership team ready for the challenge, SIAM continues to move forward—one calculated step at a time.
