𝑬𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒈𝒖𝒆, 𝑰𝒔𝒂𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒂 – A cadet from Aldersgate College, Inc. proudly represented both the institution and the Philippines in the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Cultural Understanding and Leadership Program (ROTC-CULP) 2026, held from April 23 to 27, 2026, at the University of Hawaii Army ROTC Unit and the Marine Corps Training Area Bellows (MCTAB), Oahu, Hawaii.
C/COL Joebel C. Farinas, Corps Commander of the ACI ROTC Unit under 203CDC, participated in the international Field Training Exercise (FTX) conducted under the State Partnership Program. The activity brought together cadets from the United States and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to enhance platoon-level tactical proficiency, leadership capability, and interoperability in a dynamic training environment.
The AFP delegation, composed of nine cadets from the Philippine Army, Air Force, and Navy, highlighted strong female leadership, with three outstanding women cadets from the Philippine Army, including C/COL Farinas, demonstrating excellence in military training and leadership.
CULP-FTX 2026 served as a vital platform for strengthening defense partnerships, fostering cultural exchange, and preparing cadets for advanced training, including the Cadet Summer Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
C/COL Farinas returned to unit with her enhanced leadership skills, deeper cultural understanding, and a renewed commitment to the AFP core values of Honor, Service, and Patriotism.
The 2RCDG commends her for bringing pride and honor to the unit and for exemplifying excellence on the international stage and strengthening the Philippines’ commitment to global cooperation and the development of future military leaders.
