Exploring new routes, refining tour commentaries, and enhancing the Tricycle Tourism Experience!

Our pilot testing and itinerary planning for tricycle drivers, in partnership with Bustos TODA and Bustos Tourism Office, is a significant step toward professionalizing community-based tourism. This initiative is designed to equip our local drivers with essential tour guiding skills, allowing them to confidently share local history, culture, and attractions with tourists and visitors.

By improving their knowledge of itinerary planning, storytelling techniques, and visitor engagement, our tricycle drivers will not only provide a better tourism experience but also open more opportunities for sustainable livelihoods. This initiative highlights the importance of inclusive growth in tourism, empowering local communities to benefit from the industry while promoting responsible and meaningful travel.

Through this collaborative effort, the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management continues to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) specifically:

โœ… SDG 8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth
โœ… SDG 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities
โœ… SDG 17 - Partnerships for the Goals
