Our very own student leaders from CONGRESSMAN PABLO MALASARTE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL proudly participated in the Local Youth Development Plan (LYDP) Formulation for Calendar Years 2027–2029 of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Balilihan! 💙✨

Guided by the spirit of 𝑳𝑬𝑨𝑫𝑬𝑹𝑺𝑯𝑰𝑷, 𝑺𝑬𝑹𝑽𝑰𝑪𝑬, 𝑨𝑵𝑫 𝒀𝑶𝑼𝑻𝑯 𝑬𝑴𝑷𝑶𝑾𝑬𝑹𝑴𝑬𝑵𝑻, our student representatives joined this meaningful initiative to share ideas, voice the concerns and aspirations of the youth, and contribute to the development of programs and activities that will create positive change in our community.

As we welcome the month of October, we turn our hearts and prayers to the Blessed Virgin Mary, whose life of faith, humility, and unwavering obedience to God continues to inspire us in our journey as disciples of Christ. This invites us to deepen our prayer, reflect on Christ's life and mysteries, and draw closer to Him through Mary's loving guidance.

In these times of uncertainty, let us also remember to lift our country, our world, and all those affected by calamities in our prayers. May we especially remember families who have lost their homes, communities facing hardship, those who are suffering, and our brothers and sisters who continue to find themselves in the midst of fear and uncertainty. May God grant them strength, protection, healing, and hope. May He also inspire us to become instruments of His love and compassion to those in need.

As one SCAPamilya, may this month be an invitation to pray with greater devotion, to entrust our worries and intentions to God, and to find in the Holy Rosary a path toward a deeper relationship with Christ.

📅 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

In celebration of the 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, the 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐒𝐂𝐀) of 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 came together for a meaningful day of tree planting and general campus clean-up. 🌍💚

🌳 We planted trees as a symbol of hope, growth, and our commitment to a greener tomorrow.
🧹 We cleaned our campus as a simple yet meaningful way of showing respect and responsibility toward our shared surroundings.

Through these activities, we were reminded that caring for creation begins with the little things we choose to do today. Every seedling planted and every corner cleaned is a step toward a healthier, greener, and more beautiful school community. 🌿✨

As members of the SCA, may we continue to put our faith into action—not only through words and prayers, but also through service, stewardship, and love for God’s creation. 🙏💚

The Campus Ministry – Student Catholic Action (SCA) of Congressman Pablo Malasarte National High School successfully conducted the Escapade Formation, a meaningful journey of faith, formation, fellowship, and service for our SCA trainees. 🙏💙

Congratulations to all our SCA Trainees for successfully completing this formation! May this experience strengthen your faith, deepen your understanding of the SCA mission, and prepare you for the next step in your journey toward becoming Militants.

We sincerely thank our facilitators, Ate Mary Stephanie Chatto and Kuya Methouzime V. Tusoy, for sharing their time, guidance, knowledge, and experiences with our trainees.

Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to all the SCAns who served and helped throughout the activity. Your dedication, teamwork, and willingness to serve made this formation possible and meaningful.

May this formation strengthen our trainees and inspire them to continue growing in faith, love, leadership, and service as they journey toward becoming dedicated Militant.

The Diocese of Tagbilaran joyfully welcomes home one of her own.

The Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, has appointed His Excellency Most Rev. Crispin Barrete “Bai” Varquez, D.D., as the 8th Bishop of Tagbilaran.

For the Diocese of Tagbilaran, this is more than the appointment of a new shepherd. It is a homecoming.

Bishop Varquez is a son of this Diocese - formed in its seminaries, nourished by its communities, and shaped by years of priestly ministry among its people. Now, he returns to the local Church that helped form him, entrusted with the pastoral care of the very Diocese he once served.

Born on December 5, 1960, in Sevilla, Bohol, Bishop Varquez began his priestly formation at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary in Tagbilaran, where he earned his degree in Philosophy. He later pursued his Theology studies at St. Augustine Major Seminary in Tagaytay, Cavite.

He was ordained to the priesthood on April 14, 1989.

His first priestly assignment brought him to Mindoro, where he served as an assistant parish priest. He would later dedicate a significant part of his ministry to the formation of future priests, serving as a formator at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary in Tagbilaran and at St. Augustine Major Seminary in Tagaytay during the 1990s until 2000.

Upon returning to parish ministry, he served as parish priest in several parishes of the Diocese of Tagbilaran. In January 2007, he was appointed Vicar General of the Diocese, serving closely in the pastoral and administrative life of the local Church.

His ministry then led him beyond Bohol.

On August 4, 2007, he was appointed Bishop of Borongan. He received episcopal ordination later that year and was installed as the sixth Bishop of Borongan, beginning a long episcopal ministry among the people of Eastern Samar.

For nearly two decades, he has served as pastor and shepherd of the Diocese of Borongan, accompanying its clergy, religious, and lay faithful in their life and mission as a local Church.

Now, the Lord’s providence brings him home.

The man who once served this Diocese as a seminarian, priest, formator, parish priest, and Vicar General now returns in a new role: as its Bishop.

There is something deeply meaningful in this homecoming. A bishop does not cease to be a son of the Church simply because he is entrusted with the office of shepherd. Rather, his identity as a son becomes the foundation of his fatherly care.

He comes home as a son - but he comes home to serve as a father.

As the 8th Bishop of Tagbilaran, Bishop Crispin “Bai” Varquez will now be called to lead, sanctify, teach, and accompany the People of God entrusted to his pastoral care.

The Diocese of Tagbilaran receives him with gratitude for the gift of his ministry, with joy for his return, and with confidence in the grace of God who has guided his vocation from Bohol to Eastern Samar and now back home.

After years away, a familiar son returns.
And the son of the Diocese comes home as its father.

Welcome home, Bishop Bai.

May the Lord grant him wisdom, strength, courage, and joy as he begins this new chapter of his ministry among the people of Tagbilaran.

A Blessed Rosary for Mama Mary 💙🙏🏻

Today, as we celebrate the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we gathered together in prayer and offered the Holy Rosary in honor of our beloved Mama Mary.

It was a simple yet meaningful moment of coming together, setting aside our time to pray, reflect, and give thanks to God for the gift of Mary in our lives. Through every prayer and every mystery of the Rosary, we were reminded of her unwavering faith, humility, and complete trust in God’s plan.

Mama Mary’s life teaches us that sometimes, we may not understand everything that God has planned for us, but we can always choose to trust Him. Her humble “yes” became part of the beautiful story of our salvation, reminding us to have faith even when the path ahead is uncertain.

As we celebrated her birthday today, may we also learn from her example—to choose faith over fear, humility over pride, and love over selfishness. May we continue to follow Christ more closely and carry His love into our homes, schools, communities, and wherever we may go.

May Mama Mary continue to guide, protect, and intercede for us and our families. May she always remind us to keep our hearts close to God and to never lose hope, especially during difficult moments.

Happy Birthday, Mama Mary!
Thank you for being our loving Mother and an example of faithful and humble service. May you continue to pray for us and lead us closer to your Son, Jesus Christ.

𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲

Today, we celebrate the birth of the one who would become the Mother of our Lord. Mary’s life reminds us that God often works through humble and willing hearts. Her quiet “yes” became the beginning of our salvation story.

As we honor Mama Mary on her birthday, may we learn to trust God’s plans even when we do not see the whole picture. Like her, may we choose faith over fear, humility over pride, and love over self.

May her life continue to inspire us to follow Christ more closely and to become faithful witnesses of His love in our homes, schools, and communities.

Happy Birthday, Mama Mary. Pray for us always.
