As we welcome 2024, here's a year-starter message from YES OIC Executive Director Mx. Jade Cabansal.

GREEN WARRIORS LOOK: 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗠𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗜-𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗘𝗥 𝗘𝗡𝗩𝗜𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗚𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗨𝗘

The Youth for Empowerment and Sustainability (YES), through Randel Mark S. de Leon, Jade Cabansal, Jhey Jouseff Hernandez, and Danielle Jann Villar as documenters, participated in the two-day Provincial Multi-stakeholders Environmental Governance Dialogue, July 27-28, 2023.

The dialogue aims to orient stakeholders and partners about the PAFID-INSPIRE Project, discuss the state of environmental governance in the province of Aurora, and how the activities of the PAFID-INSPIRE Project can best support conservation and management initiatives on coastal resource management in the province.

The Philippine Association for Intercultural Development, Inc. (PAFID) is among the recipients of grants to civil society organizations in the Philippines under the USAID’s Investing in Sustainability and Partnership for Inclusive Growth and Regenerative Ecosystems (INSPIRE) Project, a grant provided by the United States government through its U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

The PAFID-INSPIRE project is directed towards helping local communities address the challenges due to the effects of climate change. The efforts of INSPIRE’s projects are primarily on the conservation of biodiversity, protection of wildlife, and implementation of natural climate solutions.

Different Local Government Units (LGUs), National Government Agencies (NGAs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Non- Government Organizations (NGOs), People Organizations (POs), and representatives of other sectors from Aurora are the stakeholders who took part in the dialogue.

"Bangkang Papel" is a documentary film presented by the Youth for Empowerment and Sustainability (YES) and produced by Daloy ng Buhay Inc. (DALUHAY) with the aim of providing an insightful update on the networks of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) in Aurora, specifically in Dinalungan, Casiguran, and Dilasag. This documentary explores the profound impacts of these MPAs on each municipality's environment and community.
