The project aims to strengthen the global supply chain for artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductor technologies. The Infrastructure is proposed to be built on New Clark City, Capas, Tarlac, taking over 1,620 hectares of land to leverage its minerals. That is equivalent to 38 Mall of Asias.

When this AI data center is built, the lands of many farmers will be stolen. In addition, Agricultural advocates already fear that this project will only prioritize progress over the well-being of our environment. On top of that, Pax Silica is expected to use 5 million gallons of water per day. That is the average water needed daily by over 50,000 people. In the end, this means that not only is our environment being harmed, our health is also threatened. Furthermore, the IBON Foundation said the project will only preserve foreign control in the Philippines, making the country dependent on foreign technology and capital while remaining a supplier of cheap labor.
