Balasan Municipal Police Station, under the leadership of PLT PATRICK JOHN D.C. ALABADO, Officer-in-Charge, successfully arrested a High-Value Individual (HVI) during a buy-bust operation conducted at Brgy. Poblacion Sur, Balasan, Iloilo.

The operation was the result of intensified intelligence gathering and surveillance efforts of the Balasan MPS Drug Enforcement Team, which led to the successful apprehension of the suspect. Confiscated during the operation were approximately 65 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱442,000.00, along with several heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected illegal drugs.

The operation was carried out by operatives of the Balasan MPS Drug Enforcement Team, in coordination with personnel of the 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company (IPMFC) and the Carles Special Boat Crew, SOU 4 Maritime Group, highlighting strong inter-unit coordination and collaboration in the conduct of anti-illegal drug operations.

Balasan MPS remains steadfast in its commitment to intensify the campaign against illegal drugs through lawful, intelligence-driven, and coordinated police operations, ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of the community.

BALASAN POLICE NAB RANK 5 WESTERN VISAYAS MOST WANTED

Santa Barbara, Iloilo — The Balasan Municipal Police Station (MPS) successfully arrested the Rank 5 Regional Most Wanted Person during an operation conducted at around 10:30 AM, on March 2, 2026, in Barangay Maharlika, Taguig City, Metro Manila.

The arrested person was identified as alias “Niel”, 25 years old, male, single, unemployed, and a resident of Barangay Ipil Balasan, Iloilo.

The operation was conducted by the Tracker Team of Balasan MPS, led by Police Lieutenant Patrick John DC Alabado, Officer-in-Charge. The team served a Warrant of Arrest for the crime of R**e by Carnal Knowledge under Art. 226-A Par. 1 (D) in Rel. to Art 266-B Par. 1 of the RPC, as amended by Republic Act No. 11648.

The Warrant of Arrest was issued on February 13, 2026 by the Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Sixth Judicial Region, Branch 66, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, with no bail recommended.

The arrested individual is now under the custody of Balasan MPS for proper disposition.

Iloilo's Top Cop, Police Colonel Bayani M Razalan, praised the Balasab MPS Tracker Team for their successful apprehension of Rank 5 Regional Most Wanted Person.

"Ginadayaw ko gid ang Balasan MPS sa madinalag-on nga operasyon nga nagresulta sa pagkadakop sang Rank 5 Most Wanted sang Rehiyon 6. Hugot gid ang aton kampanya kontra sa mga wanted person agud sila pasabton sa korte sa ila nahimo nga krimen kag mahatagan sang hustisya ang ila nabiktima kag naagrabyado," Police Colonel Razalan highlighted.

The IPPO, under Police Colonel Razalan, continues to prioritize justice, capturing wanted individuals and preserving peace in Iloilo.
