Care, Save, Immortalize: Earth (CSI: Earth) is the leading environmental organization of Bataan Peni

Care, Save, Immortalize: Earth or popularly known as CSI:Earth is an environmental organization which serves as a channel for unifying all members of Bataan Peninsula State University and the community towards environmental consciousness and awareness. HISTORY

The Bataan Peninsula State University considers education as the key to respond to this noble call. Being aware of the importance of environmental activism and the role of the youth in reviving the spirit of of nature, Care Save Immortalize : Earth, a mission-oriented activity was successfully launched on October 13, 2009 in partial fulfillment of the course requirements in PHYS202 Environmental Science under the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering program of the College of Engineering and Architecture, BPSU - Main Campus, City of Balanga, Bataan. Historically, the culminating activity got its name from the American police procedural television series known as Crime Scene Investigation (CSI: NY, Miami and Las Vegas), which features an investigation team as they unveil the circumstances behind mysterious and unusual death within their jurisdiction. Similarly, CSI:EARTH was conceptualized to probe the circumstances related to the degradation of the environment.

Of every thousand sea turtle hatchlings that make it down the beach, only about one is expected to survive to adulthood. The few that do will return years later to nest on the same coast where they were born, and many of those shorelines are now covered in bottles, wrappers, and other things we used for a few minutes and then forgot.

It is easy to read that and feel helpless, but the odds facing these animals, and the bay, and the communities living beside them, are shaped by ordinary human choices: what we buy, what we throw away, what we ignore, and what we decide to fix.

𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗦𝗜: 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵, 𝘄𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻. 🌱

You will learn what sustainability looks like beyond the textbook, from organizing cleanup drives to leading awareness campaigns and managing resource recovery programs, while building the leadership, communication, and organizational skills that carry into both advocacy and professional life. Along the way you will find people who care about the same things you do, and a group that becomes something close to family.

Our projects give that care somewhere to go:

🌱 ROOTS: Rooted in Purpose, Growing for the Planet
🌱 BayaniBay: Rising the Tide of Bayanihan for Sustainable Manila Bay Rehabilitation
🌱 1PawiCan: Tide of Hope – The Journey to Save the Pawikan
🌱 Every Bottle Counts: A Call to Action for Circular Change
🌱 E-Waste Connect
🌱 Bring Your Own Tumbler Campaign
🌱 Green Bites: Brown Bag Session
🌱 INFOHAN: CSI: Earth Information Board
🌱 Act for the Earth Campaign
🌱 CSI: Earth Merchandise 2026

Every member leaves a mark, whether it is a project they helped build or a community they inspired. If you have ever felt that quiet discomfort about the state of the planet and wished you knew where to start, consider this the place.

Perhaps you don't have all the answers yet. Perhaps all you have is a little curiosity, a heart that cares, or a hope that things could be different. That is enough. Every binhi begins with the possibility of becoming something more, given the right place to grow.

At CSI: Earth, you don't have to grow alone. Find your people, discover your purpose, and become part of something that will continue to grow long after its beginnings.

On October 9, 2026, the officers of 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲, 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲, 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲: 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 gathered for the first 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, strengthening the foundations of our organization through clearer communication, better coordination, and a deeper understanding of the identity we carry.

From aligning our communication protocols to understanding the values woven into our brand, every discussion reminded us that an organization is more than its name, its colors, or the work it produces. It is the people behind every effort, the purpose behind every decision, and the shared hope that makes every small action worth taking.

Because a greener future is not built by passion alone, but by people who learn to listen, choose to work together, and carry the same purpose in different ways. And perhaps that is how a living legacy begins -- not in one grand gesture, but in the little things we choose to do together.

As we turn the page on this session, may we carry its lessons beyond the room and into every project, every partnership, and every mark we leave on the world. 🌱

Today, the officers of 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲, 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲, 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲:𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 gather for our first-ever 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, carrying a mission that reaches far beyond the walls of a room. Here, we begin to imagine what our care could become, what our hands could heal, and what kind of world our little corner of the Earth could help keep alive.

As a student organization, we believe that no change happens alone. Change starts with building connections, opening conversations, and finding common ground with fellow students and organizations. After all, just like in nature, a community grows stronger when its parts work together. 🌏

We’re glad to be part of spaces like this – where we get to meet people outside our usual circles, exchange ideas, and see where our different advocacies can meet.

Whether she’s helping turn ideas into programs or contributing to the work behind the scenes, she reminds us that meaningful things are built by people who are willing to put in the work.✨

Like a seed that keeps reaching toward the light, she continues to learn, grow, and make her own mark along the way.

May this new year bring you bigger dreams, new opportunities, and plenty of reasons to be proud of how far you’ve come.💚

Like rain finding its way to every root, teachers nurture what cannot yet be seen – the curiosity before knowledge, the courage before confidence, and the dreams before they learn how to take flight. They plant little seeds in the hearts of their students, often never knowing which will one day become forests, which words will become wisdom, or which lessons will quietly shape the people we become.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀.

Today, Care, Save, Immortalize (CSI:Earth) celebrates the teachers who remind us that growth is not simply about becoming more, but about becoming kinder – to one another and to the world that carries us.

Because every generation is a seed, and every teacher is a gardener of what comes next. The lessons rooted in patience, compassion, and love can grow far beyond the classroom, becoming choices that shape communities, protect our planet, and give tomorrow something worth inheriting. 🌏
