The Home, nestled in the heart of Baguio City Philippines, was founded in 2006 by an American Missionary Couple and was known as S.H.I.P. They returned to their family in the States and we "adopted" the children's home in January 2013 and renamed it Helping Hands Healing Hearts Children's Home. It is now home to 25 amazing children, each with their own unique heart wrenching story. Everyday we we
ave Gods love firmly into their hearts and be the best family that we can possibly be to each of them until they can either be returned to their own families or placed in new " forever families" via local or inter-country adoption. For some, we are their forever family. Parenting children is a huge job at the best of times but when the children have already been wounded, repeatedly rejected and feel unloved, that job becomes even more difficult. We value your prayers and support as we literally could not do this without it. This page is to keep you up to date with whats happening in the children's lives, to celebrate their successes and to ask for prayer when they need it. We believe that being "Jesus with skin on" is what these children need to survive. We are the "helping hands" but only He can truly "Heal Hearts".
