The KALAP Baguio Support Group stands in unwavering solidarity with our mother organization, Kabataan ng La Union Para sa Pagbabago (KALAP), and its President, Chano Domingo, following the malicious and baseless red-tagging incidents directed against them.

As a sub-organization committed to KALAP’s advocacies, we are concerned that malicious flyers were circulated in Aringay, La Union, by the anonymous group “TABAKO” to spread fear and misinformation. These materials baselessly link Chano and other youth leaders—a dangerous tactic designed to silence those who champion the rights of the marginalized.

We reiterate that KALAP is a lawful youth organization, officially recognized and registered under the National Youth Commission (NYC-YORP). Chano’s leadership is defined by community service and the empowerment of farmers and fisherfolk—sectors that are vital to our society. It is a fundamental democratic right for the youth to engage in discourse on national issues, such as corruption and economic transparency, without the threat of vilification or political harassment.

We emphasize that such acts of labeling and guilt by association are direct attacks on the safety and dignity of student advocates. These labels are not mere opinions; they are malicious tools of intimidation that put the lives and security of dedicated youth leaders at serious risk.

The KALAP Baguio Support Group will not be deterred. We remain steadfast in our mission to support the legitimate advocacies of KALAP La Union and will continue to rise for social justice and genuine change.

In response to the continuous extreme oil price increases brought about by the ongoing US–Israel–Iran conflict, Kabataan ng La Union Para sa Pagbabago (KALAP) is launching 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗧—a community pantry initiative dedicated to supporting our 𝙋𝙐𝙑 𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙛𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙤𝙡𝙠 who are among the most affected by this crisis.

We are humbly calling on everyone to extend support in any way you can:

* 𝐈𝐧-𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 (rice, eggs, canned goods, and other non-perishable basic necessities) are highly welcome.

* 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬will be used to purchase vegetables directly from our local farmers—supporting both food access and their livelihoods.

𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐨-𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐭 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Today, an estimated thousands of individuals and various organizations—including students, student councils, and community orgs—marched in a protest against corruption. The demonstration, which moved from the Convention Center to Malcolm Square in Baguio City.

Solidarity in action! 120 multi-sectoral organizations—from church groups and student councils to community organizations—unite for accountability and justice in the fight against corruption. UBians are standing strong by declaring, “𝑼𝑩𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒖𝒑𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏!” UCians have changed their motto to “𝑼𝑪𝒊𝒂𝒏, 𝒀𝒆𝒔 𝑾𝒆 𝑪𝒂𝒏 𝒇𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒖𝒑𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏.” Louisian are leading the way with a patriotic voice: "𝑳𝒖𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒐 𝑴𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏, 𝑳𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒏!"

This day holds deeper meaning as it also marks the anniversary of Martial Law—a reminder of a dark chapter in our nation’s history when silence was forced, dissent was punished, and truth was suppressed. By standing together today, we declare: Never Again to Martial Law. Never Again to Corruption
