After a health scare in 2020, Karl Salvador traded his high-stress corporate life in Dubai for the quiet rhythms of farming in Nueva Vizcaya.
Once a productivity analyst, Karl now cultivates dragon fruit, citrus, and vegetables across 4.8 hectares of land spread across three barangays in Kasibu. His decision was inspired by his mother’s modest farmland and a desire to reclaim and maximize its potential.
Applying his analytical skills and architectural background, Karl transformed idle plots into a thriving agribusiness. His first gamble, planting Bella F1 pumpkins, yielded 14,000 kilos and helped fill a regional shortage.
Today, his intercropped fruit farm and hog-raising venture generate steady income and food security, with harvests reaching up to ₱500,000.
Despite typhoons and trial-and-error setbacks, Karl finds fulfillment in being his own boss. Through his TikTok account , he shares his journey to inspire others to embrace farming—not just as a livelihood, but as a path to peace and purpose.
