Chartered by the Lions Clubs International (LCI) on April 5, 1994, our club – the Baguio Everlasting Lions Club (BELC) – celebrates 20 years of dedicated service to our communities. We are committed to continue answering humanitarian needs, particularly of the underprivileged, with the goal of leaving everlasting imprints that benefit society as a whole, ever-inspired by the Lions motto, “WE SERVE
.”
The LCI welcomed women into its membership only in 1987. As a medium-sized all-women non-government volunteer organization, our club is composed of members whose ages range from 23 to 87 years old, representing various professions. Our club welcomes this diversity and uses this to advantage to achieve our goals – with the steadfast commitment and guidance of our seasoned Lions members who have been serving the LCI up to over 30 years now, serving the organization and their communities as Lionesses even before our club was chartered; and the intense energy, dynamism and creativity of our young eager members.
