This May 28, FPOP joins the International Day of Action for Womenโs Health in calling for accessible healthcare for every woman and marginalized community. We stand firm in the belief that reproductive health rights are fundamental human rights inextricably linked to the ultimate Right to Life.
Too many women are still denied proper healthcare, accurate information, and the freedom to make decisions about their own bodies.
No woman should ever have her life endangered due to a lack of access to healthcare, information, or autonomous choices.
PH Defending Our Protections:
- The RPRH Law (RA 10354): Mandates universal access to safe, comprehensive reproductive healthcare.
- The Local Government Code (RA 7160): Charges our LGUs with the vital responsibility of delivering primary health services directly to the grassroots.
- Freedom of Thought: Guarantees every woman the right to make choices about her own body, free from societal or religious restriction.
From international commitments like the UN SDGs to frontline monitoring by Civil Society Organizations like the Family Planning Organization of the Philippines (FPOP), we must continue to fight against budget cuts, supply chain gaps, and health misinformation.
Womenโs health should never depend on status, location, or circumstance. Every woman deserves care, dignity, safety, and the chance to choose her own future.
Protect her health. Protect her future.
Letโs tip the scales toward health equity. Protect her health, protect her future. โโ๏ธ
