As part of the Linggo ng Kabataan celebration, Kabataang FPOP Montanosa collaborates with the Alliance for Improving Health Outcomes (AIHO) and SK La Trinidad to present Project LIGHT: Linking Individuals to Guided Health Treatment for HIV Care, themed “𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙃𝙄𝙑 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.”

This seminar unites youth and community leaders to connect participants with proper health guidance and services related to HIV care. It aims to provide young people with accurate information to help them make informed health decisions and foster a supportive environment.

The event also seeks to raise HIV awareness, correct common misconceptions, and reduce stigma. Together, we aim to build a more informed and inclusive community that supports better health and well-being for all youth.

La Trinidad, Benguet — July 20, 2026

The Family Planning Organization of the Philippines Baguio-Benguet Chapter signed a memorandum of agreement with the municipal government of La Trinidad. Kabataang FPOP Officers together with FPOP staff, represented the chapter. Mayor Roderick Awingan and SK Federation President Frederick Guzman led the local government in this partnership.

The agreement places youth needs at the center of efforts to advance family planning and S*xual and Reproductive Health and Rights. Vice Mayor Guiller Galwan and Administrator Franco Bawang, Jr. witnessed the signing.

The initiative will provide youth-focused information, education, and campaigns on reproductive health. It strengthens the skills of young leaders and health workers to better serve their peers. Young people will help shape activities that truly meet the needs of the community’s youth. These efforts support informed, empowered youth who lead a reproductive health–responsive community.

This agreement marks an important step toward better health and well-being for the youth of La Trinidad.

The Family Planning Organization of the Philippines marks its 57th year of service this year. For nearly six decades, we have worked to promote responsible parenthood and reproductive health across the country. Our efforts have always centered on supporting families and communities to make informed choices.

We are proud to reach more people and expand our programs through the years. This milestone reflects the trust and cooperation of all our partners and volunteers. We are dedicated to offering complete essential services on family planning and reproductive health nationwide. We also rely on a strong network of community-based volunteers who connect our programs directly to those who need them most. Together, we remain committed to bringing accurate information and quality care to every community.

The Baguio Benguet Chapter and Kabataang FPOP Montanosa stand united with the national organization in this celebration. We remain committed to bringing quality services and accurate information to our local communities. Together, we will continue to advance the goals of family planning and public health. Every contribution strengthens our shared mission to build healthier and more stable families.

We strive to ensure that every individual has access to the resources they need to plan their future wisely. Our collective work empowers families to thrive and contributes to the overall well-being of our society. There is a special kind of memory that lives in Burnham Lake.

For many families in Baguio and Benguet, it was where fathers pedaled beneath the swan's wings, guiding their children through calm waters while sharing stories, laughter, and quiet lessons that would stay with them long after the ride ended.

Cordillerans may not always express love through words, but through presence, sacrifice, and steadfast guidance. In every journey, they show care through actions—steady, intentional, and enduring.

At FPOP, we recognize that these moments of guidance help shape healthier families and stronger communities. Every conversation, every lesson, and every shared memory becomes part of a child's journey toward growth and well-being.

This Father's Day, we honor the dads who raised us, the guardians who stood in their place, and the lolos, titos, and father figures who shared their love as their own.

Some boat rides lasted only a moment. The memories—and the values they carried—lasted a lifetime.

It was a blast! The Red in the Pride Flag: Tuba Leg—an advocacy drag show—brought together culture, art, and advocacy.

Through Project Choosing Happiness, supported by AHF Philippines (AHF), the FPOP Baguio-Benguet Chapter joined the celebration last night at Kissing Clouds Agricultural Farm in Badiwan, Poblacion, Tuba, Benguet.

Beyond providing HIV services, the organization also participated in the Flaming Drag Show with Kabataang FPOP Montañosa, alongside community members who enjoyed vibrant performances from local drag queens, sipped warm Benguet coffee, and savored sweet, freshly cooked camote.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS while promoting conversations on mental health across all age groups.

Through art, self-expression, and community engagement, the event demonstrated how drag can be a powerful platform for education and advocacy. The activity hopes to bring similar initiatives to more municipalities across Benguet, creating safe and inclusive spaces that promote HIV awareness, challenge stigma, and encourage open conversations on health and well-being.
