All it takes is one encounter with God, and your life is never the same.

I went from being lustful, depressed, suicidal, trapped in idolatry, longing for recognition, and feeling empty to now being used by God to share His Word and testify to what He has done in my life. I’m still surrendering to Him daily and allowing Him to transform me in His perfect timing as I follow Him as my Lord and Savior.

We are never too far gone when we surrender our lives to Christ. He will meet you right where you are. No one is beyond the reach of God’s grace. I know, because His grace reached me.

Because of the peace He gives, I can let go of my fears, my past, my need for approval, my burdens, my need for control, and even my own dreams, trusting that His will is always better than mine.

God’s peace is beyond understanding.

All by His grace.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

Philippians 4:7
And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Surrender to Christ.

A true servant puts JESUS first, OTHERS second, and SELF last.

Before He calls us forward, He invites us to rest in His presence.

What we need most is not another answer from God, but God Himself.

The deeper we recognize our limitations, the deeper we learn to depend on God. Our weakness becomes a reminder of His strength and a reason to worship.

And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

People know me as someone who’s always joking around and loves being with others. I enjoy conversations, hanging out with friends, and having a good time—more so when alcohol is involved.

And honestly, that’s still me.

One thing I’ve learned is that we don’t always understand how God works in a person’s life. If you had met me before I came to know the Lord and if you met me today, there are still things that may look the same on the outside.

I came to Jesus just as I was. I wasn’t cleaned up. I didn’t have everything figured out.

And even today, I’m still a work in progress.

But my testimony has never been about how much I’ve changed. My testimony is about how gracious and patient God is—that I belong to a perfect Savior who loves me despite my imperfections.

The miracle isn’t that I became perfect overnight. The miracle is that a holy God would love someone like me, meet me where I was, save me by His grace, and faithfully continue the work He started in me.

I’m not who I used to be, and I’m not yet who God is shaping me to become. But by His grace, I belong to Him.

So if there’s anything good that people see in my life, all glory belongs to God alone. He’s still writing my story, and I’m grateful that He didn’t wait for me to become worthy before calling me His own.
