“𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚, 𝙄𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚”

Of course, let's not forget the creative minds behind the publications of the Louisian Rover Scouts– the Media Team. They are the forces behind same day photo and video editing, publication materials, and information dissemination.

True to their team motto, they strive to bring the heart and soul of every Scout not just through deployments but also the fun side of being a Scout. They have been challenged throughout the year but they did not falter.

Their dedication and efforts often went unnoticed, but their work spoke volumes. From sunny field work, to late nights in front of a screen, they have truly captured and preserved memories for every scout to look back to.

Being the pioneers of the media team, these photographers, writers, editors, and broadcasters were exceptional in their own fields. Their term as the media team might've ended but their legacy will live on.

𝙋𝙖𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙢 𝙖𝙩 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙩, 𝙈𝙜𝙖 𝙋𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙣𝙤!

Every goodbyes are new beginnings. Even though the chain of Commands were finally passed down to the next administration of the Louisian Rover Scouts, the Officers from Batch 2025 now express their final words.

Words that don’t just signify their goodbyes but also a symbol of passing down their hopes to the next generations and a legacy that they strive to continue. A phase where goodbyes are inevitable but also a moment of trust and aspiration to the next.

So to the next batches, carry on the torch that lights up not just the Louisian Rover Scouts but the entire Scouting Movement. We, your former officers, are always a step behind you–supporting and always being proud of you!

On May 9, the Louisian Rover Scouts gathered at the JVB Function Hall for their turnover ceremony— a tradition that bridges the past, present, and future.

𝘐𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴; 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴, 𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘳, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘦𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘣𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘥.

Throughout the event, they reminisce about every experience, every challenge, every victory, gratitude, and farewell through heartfelt speeches— words that carried the weight of memories shared in every deployment, formation, early call times, sudden need of manpower, and every meeting. Up to the last moments, the Scouts spent their time reminiscing and making new inside jokes, sharing laughter, and looking back on all they have been through as a family. They also remembered the alumni who once celebrated their own turnover in the same hall, realizing they were becoming part of something bigger: a legacy woven through time.

After the ceremony, they shared a meal together, eating as a family one final time as Scouts under the same banner, savoring not just the food but the bonds they had built through the years.

The Louisian Rover Scouts honored the dedicated leaders who carried this legacy with grace and strength.

The outgoing Rover Officer Committee [R.O.C.]:

049 Rover Leader: Scout Kristel Joy L. Lopez
049 Assistant Rover Leader: Scout Vince Jasper De Guzman
049 Secretary: Scout Angela Mae S. Salero

050 Rover Leader: Scout Aeon Rhayne Mari G. Dallindin
050 Assistant Rover Leader: Scout Raya Avery Pugong
050 Secretary: Scout Athena Pasoquen

051 Rover Leader: Scout Leander Jhino M. Barillo
051 Assistant Rover Leader: Scout Ralph Michael S. Laluan
051 Secretary: Scout Zarina Cachap

Treasurer: Scout Gillian Jane Bantiyan
Quartermaster: Scout Zedrick Garcia
Sergeant-at-Arms: Scout Maria Bettina Flora

With pride, they now welcomed the new Circle leaders who would carry the torch forward:

𝑪𝒊𝒓𝒄𝒍𝒆 049 𝑹𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓: 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒂 𝑴𝒊𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒆𝒍𝒂 𝑨𝒓𝒂𝒐𝒋𝒐
𝑪𝒊𝒓𝒄𝒍𝒆 050 𝑹𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓: 𝑨𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒚𝒅 𝑫𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒏𝒆 𝑳𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒉 𝑩𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒚
𝑪𝒊𝒓𝒄𝒍𝒆 051 𝑹𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓: 𝑲𝒉𝒂𝒚𝒆-𝑪 𝑱𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝑨𝒓𝒐𝒂

It was an emotional event. They weren’t simply handing over positions; they were handing over dreams, memories, and the weight of every promise made in the uniform. The ceremony reminded them that leadership is not about holding a title, but about holding each other up, walking forward with the lessons of the past and the hope for those who will follow.

Here’s to the friendships forged, the legacy carried, and the journey that continues thereafter, trusting that the Great Scoutmaster of all good Scouts will be with them until they meet again.

On May 6th and 7th, the Grade 12 Scouts graduated! These days mark not just the end of a chapter, but the beginning of a brand new journey. As they take their final steps through the halls of high school, let us remember their brilliance not only as Scouts but as students, and above all human beings.

Let us honor their spirit of leadership, service, and resilience that they consistently embody; being true to their Scout manner whilst their graduation. As they stand tall and proud leading as the entrance of color for three distinct ceremonies, representing the unwavering dedication they have shown throughout their years.

Their perseverance, discipline and tenacity as Students having countless deadlines and responsibilities. Having physics became their greatest foe, yet here they are, standing triumphant on stage knowing that they persevered through the hardships.

Lastly, let us honor their fortitude as human beings. Having to juggle and balance their lives as scouts and students while acknowledging theirselves. This signifies their strength and courage in showing up despite the chaos and disagreements of academics, scout responsibilities and personal life.

They paved the way for the present and future Scouts. Standing tall as pillars for the youngsters, reflecting the strength of unity and purpose. And, becoming a series of inspiration as they carried the colors with the same commitment as their own lives, reminding us of the honor in service and the bonds that tie them within.

Their journey has been one of growth, challenge, and discovery. From 3:00 AM - 7:30 AM call-times in deployments as Scouts to them rushing with last-minute deadlines as Students, they have faced every test with courage and camaraderie, leaving a legacy of excellence that will echo through the halls for years to come.

As they step into the next phase of their lives, a new chapter, we, the Grade 11 Scouts are filled with pride, knowing that these seniors are walking towards their dreams they sought after. Congratulations, graduates!

𝟴𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗼 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

As we stand tall with the freedom we have acquired, let us remember those whose courage inspired. 𝙇𝙚𝙩 𝙪𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙚, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙪𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝. This day we commemorate not merely a milestone in our history, but the enduring spirit of the people who stood against injustice and triumphed over oppression.

Let us give the highest honor to those who upheld the pride of our nation and bore the heavy challenges that forged this day into a momentous occasion—𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒗𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒔𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝑾𝒂𝒓 𝑰𝑰 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒗𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒇𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆. They carried the hopes of a nation upon their weary shoulders, and in doing so, etched their bravery into the very soul of our land. Their heroism remains a timeless testament to their profound love of country and their steadfast devotion to the cause of freedom.

On this solemn occasion, we pay homage to the valor and sacrifice of the veterans, most especially the United States and Philippine forces from the 33rd and 37th Divisions of the Sixth US Army, alongside the fearless Cordilleran guerrillas of the 66th Infantry, USAFIP-NL, whose unity and determination led to the liberation of Baguio City in 1945. Through hardship and suffering, they reclaimed our beloved city from oppression. Their triumph restored not only our freedom but rekindled the hope and dignity of an entire community.

In every flag that waves and every anthem that stirs our hearts, their legacy endures—a solemn reminder that freedom was not freely given, but hard-fought and dearly won. They fought not merely for victory, but for the enduring promise of a brighter tomorrow, a future where every Baguio citizen could live with peace, pride, and dignity. Their stories teach us that liberty demands vigilance, and that each generation must rise to the sacred duty of protecting the freedoms so courageously earned by those before us.

As we stand on the shoulders of giants, we are called to honor their memory not only with words, but with lives of purpose and service—living with the same resolve, compassion, and unity they displayed in the face of overwhelming adversity. The 80th Baguio Liberation Day stands as both a tribute and a call—a call to the young, such as our Scouts, to inherit and uphold the enduring values of patriotism, service, and leadership with unyielding devotion.

On Sunday morning, April 27, 2025, the 80th Baguio Liberation Day was solemnly commemorated at Veterans Park along Harrison Road.

The event honored the valor and sacrifice of the veterans, particularly the United States and Philippine forces from the 33rd and 37th Divisions of the Sixth US Army, alongside the Cordilleran guerrillas of the 66th Infantry, USAFIP-NL, who liberated Baguio City from Japanese occupation in 1945.

This event was joined by Baguio City’s Mayor Benjamin Magalong alongside the City’s Congressman Mark Go. World War II soldiers and veterans were also there to commemorate this momentous occasion. The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the Philippines were also invited–Scouts coming from different schools were also there to witness the said event.

𝗔𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 (𝗔𝗙𝗣) 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳, 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗿., 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁:

"𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙤𝙘𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙖 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙖 𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙘 𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙤 𝙖 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙣 𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙗𝙪𝙩𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙤𝙢 𝙬𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙟𝙤𝙮 𝙩𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮."

General Brawner further emphasized that the observance of Baguio Liberation Day symbolizes the resilience, courage, and unity demonstrated by the Allied Forces and the Filipino people — virtues that secured the liberties we cherish today.

The commemoration stands as both a tribute to those who fought for freedom and a reminder of the enduring values of patriotism, unity, and resilience. It represents the courage that overcame adversity and the collective spirit that restored peace and democracy. Honoring this historic day remains vital, especially for younger generations, such as the Scouts, who are called to inherit and live by these ideals. Through remembrance, they are inspired to embody the virtues of service, leadership, and dedication to the nation.

The legacy of the heroes of 1945 must endure — not just through ceremonies, but in the hearts and actions of every citizen safeguarding the freedom and peace they secured.

Last April 5, 2025, was a wonderful day for our family inside and outside of school. We celebrate together as one with the interconnected love we have for God and each other.

The program started with a mass at the CP Covered Court followed by a ribbon cutting headed by the SLU BEdS trio alongside Fr. President Gilbert Sales, CICM. Then, different
Clubs such as SAMAFIL and Society of Performing Arts performed their own pieces. An1 ML competition was also done by different competitors in the Senior High campus.

Grade 11 Cluster A showcased their unique products with wit and fun. Other students with their respective club booths also promoted their entertaining games and services. At noon, all films from the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) strand presented their films depicting some social issues we are experiencing today.

Thank you to our family, teachers, friends and to all the people who were able to make this happen.

On this occasion, all attending accreditors were accompanied by one to two Rover Scouts as they went through their interviews and observations at the Navy Base Campus. This provided them the opportunity to visit and explore the three main buildings of the campus: the Gerard Decaestecker Building, the John Van Bauwel Building, and the Charles Pieters Building.

With discipline and dedication, the Rover Scouts were deployed to guide the accreditors through the buildings, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Their warmth and enthusiasm were evident as they facilitated the accreditors’ movement across the campus during the morning periods.
