𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁? 𝗪𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗱! 💪✨

We are happy to report that the E-Waste Collection Drive has managed to collect𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟱𝟬𝗸𝗴 of various electronic waste! With the help of 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗿 and the people over at the 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘂 - 𝗖𝗔𝗥, AWMA has successfully turned over the collection contributed by our lovely Louisian community 🗑

Though e-waste may be on the rise, and fast tech would result into faster production of e-waste, it is all thanks to our Eco Warriors that we are able to progress towards sustainable development goals, one project at a time:

♻️ E-WASTE COLLECTION DRIVE 🌍 | October 15 - 17 |

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗮 𝘄𝗿𝗮𝗽!

While our electronics may struggle to keep up at the end of their lifetime, AWMA believes in second chances. To find a new purpose for the materials inside; to recycle what could be salvaged and to properly dispose of hazardous waste - that's what we were able to do, 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪!

Tomorrow, we will turnover all of the collected electronics to the 𝙀𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘽𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙪 (𝙀𝙈𝘽) - 𝘾𝘼𝙍.

We would like to express our full gratitude towards everyone who supported and contributed towards this project! This would not have been possible without the generosity of our Louisian community. Thank you for making this planet greener and safer. 🌏

With this E-Waste Collection drive, we are one step further down the progress of our sustainable development goals.

This October 18, 2026, AWMA brings back one of its flagship programs in partnership with the City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO) – 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁-𝗮-𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸! 🏞️

There’s no mystery that when it comes to the environment, AWMA brings their A-Game. But there are still so many secrets yet to be discovered: like how plants thrive in these urban pockets or how students and individuals could bring about a large enough change to make their community a better place. A mystery remains a mystery until you seek the answer for yourself ✨

Adopt-a-Park is not just a chance to care for the things that makes our city breathable, it is also an opportunity to engage in the progress of sustainable development by:

Louisians! When the current stops flowing and the tangling wires no longer serve their purpose, how you dispose of them matters more than you think. As the rise of e-waste grows more and more every year, many of them do not receive the safe and formal process needed to recycle them. Toxic materials eventually leech out to the environment if left unchecked. Luckily, you do not have to step too far in order to find a proper channel! ✨

Some gadgets are hard to let go of, but when you do decide to take action, know that AWMA is right here waiting for you. AWMA's E-Waste Bins are all around the campus! 🗑

📢 ANNOUNCEMENT: SLU E-WASTE COLLECTION WEEK 2026♻️🔋

Calling all Louisians! Join us for Saint Louis University's E-Waste Collection Week happening from October 12 to 17, 2026!

Organized in coordination with the Environmental Management Bureau–Cordillera Administrative Region (EMB-CAR), this initiative accepts personal and household e-waste such as obsolete or non-functional computers, printers, monitors, mobile devices, cables, and batteries (busted bulbs are strictly not accepted).

As you drop off your items at our campus collection points, please make sure to write down your name, the specific type and quantity of e-waste you are disposing of, and its condition in our provided logging sheets to help us maintain a proper inventory for turnover.

Let's work together to promote responsible electronic waste management and environmental sustainability!

Got old and defect electronics cluttering at your home? The Air and Waste Management Association is once again holding an E-WASTE COLLECTION DRIVE to help you dispose your electronics safely and responsibly!

Electronic waste contains heavy metals and hazardous substances such as Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, and Brominated Flame Retardants. When e-waste is dumped into regular landfills, these toxic compounds can leach to soil and groundwater overtime, posing environmental and health risk. Electronic wastes require separate disposal to ensure environmental protection and economic sustainability. 🍃

Through this E-Waste Collection drive, we are actively contributing to:

With the ever-magnanimous guidance and support of our advisers Engr. Maria Lourdes G. Pitargue and Engr. Gizelle M. Pascua, this induction of new officers is a step forward for leadership with integrity, transparency, and stewardship all for the community 🌿
