Success is never achieved alone—it is built through unity, dedication, and shared passion.

The successful conduct of the BBEAL Muaythai Tournament became possible because of the unwavering support, commitment, and generosity of remarkable individuals and organizations who believed in the growth of the sport and the development of our student-athletes.

Our sincerest gratitude to the BBEAL Committee for approving the inclusion of Muaythai in this year’s regular sports events. Your trust and vision opened doors for young athletes to showcase discipline, courage, sportsmanship, and excellence through this dynamic sport.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to University of the Cordilleras for graciously hosting the tournament and for generously providing the venue, facilities, and sound system. Your support created an environment where athletes could compete safely, confidently, and proudly.

To the Muaythai Association of the Philippines, thank you for lending the necessary fighting gears and for continuously supporting grassroots sports development. Your contribution greatly helped in ensuring that the competition was conducted professionally and safely.

To our generous cash donors (Atty. Benny Bomogao, Sir Joseph Oloan, Sir Balsonn Cabato, Fattit and Ngina Family), your kindness and willingness to share your blessings played a vital role in making this event possible. Your support went beyond financial assistance—it became a source of encouragement to every athlete and organizer involved.

To all Technical Officials and Muaythai National team we deeply appreciate your professionalism, fairness, expertise, and dedication in ensuring the integrity and smooth flow of every match. Your hard work behind the scenes deserves the highest respect.

To all participating schools, coaches, and athletes, thank you for bringing honor, passion, discipline, and sportsmanship into the competition area. Your commitment and perseverance truly embodied the spirit of Muaythai and the values of BBEAL.

To the City Government of Baguio through the City Sports office for the unconditional support and assistance during the weigh-in.

And to all our volunteers (BCU Nursing students, UC Sports Office Staff), your silent yet tireless efforts, time, and service became one of the strongest foundations of this event’s success. Your willingness to help in every way possible did not go unnoticed.

Together, we proved that through collaboration, support, and unity, we can elevate student sports and create opportunities that inspire the next generation.

Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat. The success of this tournament belongs to every one of you. 🥊🏆

TWO IGOROTAS HONORED WITH CITATION IN MUAYTHAI
Philippine Sports Writers Association Awardees Bring Pride to the Igorot Community

Two outstanding Igorota athletes have once again elevated Philippine sports and brought immense pride to the Cordillera region after receiving citations from the prestigious Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) for their remarkable achievements in Muaythai.

Islay Erika Asiong Bomogao, a proud Igorota fighter, earned recognition following her gold medal victory in the Muaythai event of the 2025 Southeast Asian Games. Her performance showcased exceptional discipline, strength, and technical mastery, securing her place among the country’s top combat sports athletes.

Joining her in receiving honors is young Muaythai standout Lyre Anie Pangayan Ngina, who captured the gold medal during the 2025 Asian Youth Games. Ngina’s victory highlights the rising generation of Igorot athletes making waves in international competitions at an early stage of their careers.

The recognition from the PSA, considered one of the highest acknowledgments from the Philippine sports media community, celebrates not only athletic excellence but also the athletes’ dedication and perseverance in representing the nation on the global stage.

Both Bomogao and Ngina embody the resilience, courage, and fighting spirit deeply rooted in Igorot culture. Their achievements continue to inspire young athletes across the Cordillera and the entire country, proving that talent from the highlands can shine brightly in international arenas.
