🌟 Transforming Ideas into Products: Entrepreneurship in Action! 🌟

​On May 29, 2026, our Local Skills Development Director (LSDD), Ms. Mary Jennifer M. Moltio, had the distinct honor of serving as a judge for the First Quarter Skills Competition at the Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY) in Payda, Bayabas, Sablan, Benguet.
​Organized by the DSWD Field Office CAR, this quarterly competition provides a powerful platform for male residents—Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL)—to showcase the intensive skills and knowledge they have acquired through their rehabilitation training.
​
6 Amazing Teams of young residents stepped up to present their unique food innovations and business proposals including a very clever Spicy Shrimp Paste with Kiniing concept - which won the skills competition. They didn't just present products—they pitched full business plans covering everything from target marketing to creative pre-ordering systems.

As a passionate entrepreneur herself, our LSDD together with 2 other judges didn't just score the criteria; she shared valuable, real-world business tips on food production, business sustainability, and overcoming the logistical hurdles of distribution.

​Every child deserves a second chance, a fresh start, and a space to discover their true potential. When we invest our time and energy into honing the practical, vocational, and entrepreneurial skills of our youth, we are giving them the ultimate tools for transformation.
​Redirecting their focus toward innovation, creativity, and financial literacy does more than teach them how to earn a living—it builds resilience, restores self-worth, and paves a clear pathway for them to become productive, empowered leaders of our community tomorrow. Let us continue to support, guide, and believe in the power of our youth!

🌻 𝗝𝗖𝗜 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗼 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 proudly participated in the 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽 and 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗝𝗖𝗜𝗣𝗘𝗔 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘂𝘁 held via Zoom last February 4, 2026.

The activity served as a valuable platform for strengthening organizational systems, enhancing leadership efficiency, and deepening our understanding of effective PEA reporting and documentation. Through this learning opportunity, our officers gained insights that will help reinforce accountability, transparency, and sustainable growth within the organization.

As we continue to rise and bloom in 2026, JCI Baguio Sunflower remains committed to purposeful leadership, impactful service, and excellence in organizational management. 🌻

🌻 𝗝𝗖𝗜 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗼 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 successfully conducted its 2nd General Membership Meeting and “Opportunity to Impact” session on February 6, 2026 at the Safe and Sound Room, Baguio Convention Center.

Led by 2026 LO President Jobelle Anselmo Batanes, members gathered to strengthen camaraderie, align organizational goals, and welcome aspiring changemakers into the JCI movement. The session highlighted JCI’s mission of developing young leaders through community service, leadership development, business and entrepreneurship, and international collaboration.

“JCI is not just an organization—it is a movement. Let us lead with service, act with courage, and create meaningful change together.”

JCI Baguio Sunflower also extends its heartfelt appreciation to 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗟𝗔𝗧 - Baguio Youth Innovation Hub for accommodating the activity and supporting youth-driven initiatives that inspire innovation, civic engagement, and purpose-driven leadership.

Understanding starts with listening.

Through our session on Understanding Development and Tantrums in Children with Autism with Doc Jam, we opened a space for parents, caregivers, and community members to learn, ask, and better understand behaviors that are often misunderstood.

Conversations like these matter because awareness shapes how we respond, and how we support.

More than the session, this became the start of something more.
We formalized our commitment through a Memorandum of Agreement with Doc Jam to continue creating spaces for awareness, learning, and support for families.

Because inclusion doesn’t happen in one talk.
It happens when we choose to keep showing up, learning, and working together.
