An inclusive, passionate and community-driven group to inspire and celebrate the art of urban sketching, fostering a sense of belonging among artists of all skill levels. 📧[email protected] About Urban Sketchers Baguio City:
Formerly known as Bag-iw Sketchers, Urban Sketchers Baguio City is an ever-growing community of artists, hobbyists, art enthusiasts and storytellers who capture life in

and around the city through sketches. Our community welcomes anyone who wishes to express, document, or simply appreciate the beauty of everyday life through art. We sketch scenes that reflect our shared experiences—moments in the market, mountain views, bustling streets, quiet corners, and the people that make Baguio what it is. Through our sketches, we tell stories, build connections, and make history—one line, one color, one moment at a time. We meet regularly for sketch walks around Baguio City and nearby areas, and we also share our works and reflections online. Whether you draw, paint, or doodle, there’s always space for you in our circle. This is our manifesto and a guideline on what to post here:

Urban Sketchers Manifesto
1. We draw on location, indoors or out, capturing what we see from direct observation.
2. Our drawings tell the story of our surroundings, the places we live and where we travel.
3. We are truthful to the scenes we witness.
5. We use any kind of media and cherish our individual styles.
6. We support each other and draw together.
7. We share our drawings online.
8. We show the world, one drawing at a time. For collaboration, please email us at [email protected]. You may also reach us out on our page: Urban Sketchers Baguio and Instagram

May 1 felt extra special.

We marked our 2nd anniversary of sketching together as an official group—two years of showing up, drawing side by side, and building this creative community one sketch at a time.

It also happened to be the start of International Urban Sketchers Week (May 1–7), with the first prompt: GREEN. 💚
And in a city like Baguio, that choice felt natural.

We gathered at Bayan Park—freshly renovated, surrounded by trees, and finally getting the glow up it deserves. The kind of space that invites you to slow down, look closer, and sketch what’s right in front of you.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this one.
Familiar faces, new sketchers, shared pages, shared time.

Here’s to more sketchwalks, more stories, and more moments like this.

Let’s keep sketching—
showing the world, one sketch at a time. ✍️🌲

Holy Week has begun—
and we chose to slow down, with pens in hand and stories unfolding on paper at Lourdes Grotto.

Built in 1913 by the Dominican priests, this sacred hillside shrine was inspired by the Marian apparitions in 1858 at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes—a place of prayer, reflection, and quiet devotion. Today, it became our space to observe, reflect, and draw.

Thank you to everyone who joined our sketchwalk—
for the stories shared, the laughter in between lines, and the courage to simply sit and create together.

Urban sketching has no skill requirement.
No pressure. No perfection.
Just showing up, seeing deeply, and putting it down on paper.

As Holy Week approaches, we slow down and take things in.

Join us at Lourdes Grotto in Mirador—built in 1913 by Belgian missionaries (CICM) and inspired by the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes in France. A place known for quiet devotion, reflection, and one of Baguio’s most meaningful landmarks.

📍 Meetup: 9:00 AM
📍 Sketch Latag: 11:30 AM

Bring your own sketching materials.
No pressure. Just draw.
