As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainable livelihood development, TMPC recently conducted a Coffee and Barista Training for its members last August 15, 2026 at TIPI Gym, opening doors to new skills and income opportunities within the growing coffee industry.

All 25 participants were introduced to the fundamentals of coffee-making, from understanding different coffee bean varieties and roast profiles to mastering the art of espresso extraction and milk frothing. The training also covered essential barista skills such as latte art, proper equipment handling, and maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards โ€” all key ingredients to delivering quality coffee and excellent customer experience.

Beyond the technical know-how, participants gained a deeper appreciation for the craft and discipline behind every cup of coffee, as well as the confidence to explore entrepreneurial ventures such as putting up their own coffee stalls or small cafรฉs.

This livelihood initiative reflects TMPC's dedication to empowering its members with practical, income-generating skills that go beyond traditional employment. By equipping members with barista expertise, the cooperative not only opens pathways to additional income but also nurtures an entrepreneurial spirit that strengthens both individual livelihoods and the broader community.

Thank you to Cafรฉ Kzar for being our partner in this workshop headed by Mr. Robert Caesar Kiswa. Thank you too to Ms. Jill Kiswa, Mr. Rosario Jeric Gumpic, Ms. Rose Mae Ullani and Mr. Reyven Velasco.

At TMPC, we believe that every skill learned is a step toward greater self-reliance and shared prosperity. Here's to brewing not just great coffee, but brighter futures!

TMPC in partnership with the Cordillera Administrative Region Cooperative Union (CARCU) conducted an in-house training on Customer Service Excellence last August 7, 2026 at Texins Building, Engineerโ€™s Hill, Baguio City, bringing together staff members to strengthen the skills that matter most in serving our cooperative's members.

Throughout the session, participants learned how to build genuine rapport with members through active listening, and how to handle concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism. The training also emphasized the importance of clear and effective communication and explored ways to turn everyday transactions into lasting relationships built on trust.

This investment in our staff goes beyond improving day-to-day service. As our team grows more equipped and confident in handling member needs, we strengthen the bonds of trust that our cooperative is built on. A well-trained staff means faster, more efficient service, a more united and service-driven work culture, and members who feel truly valued every time they walk through our doors.

Thank you to our resource speaker, Mr. Patrick John Rico, DBA and Mam Abigail Cadias, CEO of CARCU.

At TMPC, we believe that when we invest in our people, we invest in the future of our cooperative. Because at the heart of everything we do is our commitment to "People Helping People."
