President Giovanni Pelin Pangan, was called to serve as a Mission President on July of 2019 In the Philippines Iloilo Mission. There he presided and cared for over more than 170 young missionaries. Both foreign and native to the islands of the Philippines. He brought great enthusiasm and excitement to the missionaries. By just speaking to him, you could sense the great love and dedication he had for the Lords work. Constantly moving around and always on his feet, he sought ways on how to make Gods love known to all those around him. Serving right by his side was his wife, Sister Pangan and daughter, Trisha. Later on, in September of 2020 they were reunited with their son, Joshua, who finished his 2 years of serving a mission. Few months later on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, President Pangan passed away unexpectedly from what is believed to be a heart attack. President Pangan, age 48, has left behind a beautiful family, a wife, a daughter and a son. All, who as well devoted themselves to serving the people of Iloilo. Now as their mission comes to a close, they will need to prepare themselves to return home and move forward, without the care and provide they once had from a father. This fundraiser is in hopes to help them get on their feet and lighten their load which they carry. However big or small your donation is this will come a long way for them, especially during these times. Above all, this is in honor of our dear Mission President, President Pangan, a “great leader and faithful father”.
