A week of academic engagement, cultural exchange, and international collaboration.

Our delegates participated in lectures, academic workshops, and discussions alongside medical students from across Asia and beyond. The conference provided a valuable platform for exchanging perspectives, broadening our understanding of healthcare, and engaging with diverse approaches to the medical profession.

Beyond the academic program, TORCH 47th AMSC fostered meaningful cultural exchange among participating delegations. Through shared experiences and interactions, our delegates gained greater appreciation for the diverse backgrounds and perspectives represented throughout the conference.

We are grateful for the knowledge, insights, and connections gained throughout TORCH 47th AMSC. The experience in Jakarta has contributed to our continued growth as future healthcare professionals and strengthened our commitment to learning beyond borders.

In celebration of National CPR Caravan 2026, SLU Future Physicians for Health and Human Rights (FPHHR - AMSA SLU) partnered with the Philippine Red Cross - Baguio City Chapter to conduct a hands-on Basic Life Support (BLS) Training & First Aid demonstration.

37 of our students rolled up their sleeves to master core resuscitation techniques, chest compressions, and emergency response skills. Because as future doctors, saving lives starts long before we step into the hospital—it starts with standard community care. 🫀💪

The SLU Future Physicians for Health and Human Rights proudly celebrated 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗼𝘀 as she represented our organization, our university, and the Philippines 🇵🇭 at the 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀' 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 (𝗔𝗠𝗦𝗘𝗣) 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 🇭🇰.

📍 From June 14–20, 2026, Sofia joined aspiring physicians from across Asia at the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where ideas, cultures, and perspectives converged in pursuit of a shared goal—to build a healthier, more connected world.

🤝 Though the program lasted only a few days, its impact reached far beyond the exchange itself. Every conversation, every lesson, and every connection became another step toward becoming a physician who understands that healthcare knows no borders.

🩺 As a proud representative of SLU-FPHHR and the AMSA Saint Louis University Chapter, Sofia embodied the values of servant leadership, global citizenship, and compassionate care throughout the exchange.

AMSA SLU joins the Smoke-Free Baguio Campaign 🚭

Last February 13, the Baguio City Health Services Office led the destruction of confiscated ci******es, e-ci******es, and v**e products worth P5 million at Malcolm Square.

This effort shows the local government’s strong commitment to public health and its goal of maintaining a smoke-free city.
