DLUSA SOL Discipuli Legis Universitatis Sancti Aloysii (DLUSA) is the official student organization of Saint Louis University School of Law. President;

Discipuli Legis Universitatis Sancti Aloysii or DLUSA is the official student organization of law students enrolled in Saint Louis University (Baguio City). The Executive Committee of DLUSA is comprised of the following positions:

1. Vice President for Personnel;
3. Vice President for Internal Affairs;
4. Vice President for External Affairs;
5. Vice President for Finance; and
6. Vice President for Logistics. Under its CBL, there are four Independent Committees:

1. Debate and Mooting Society (DEMOS);
2. Sports Committee (SportsComm);
3. Liturgical Committee (LitComm); and
4. School of Law - Teatro Obra Pilipino (SOL-TOP)

DLUSA also has its own Commission on Elections (COMELEC). A Law Student officially enrolled in Saint Louis University automatically becomes a member of the DLUSA.

On September 21, 1972, then-President Ferdinand E. Marcos signed Proclamation No. 1081, placing the Philippines under Martial Law. What followed became one of the most consequential and contested periods in the nationโ€™s history.

Today, we remember Martial Law not merely as a date in our history books, but as a period that profoundly affected the lives of countless Filipinos. The years that followed were marked by the suspension of ordinary democratic processes, restrictions on the press and freedom of expression, arrests and detentions of political opponents and critics, and documented cases of human rights violations.

The Supreme Court En Banc has declared that Article II, Section 26 of the 1987 Constitution imposes a mandatory duty upon Congress to enact a law prohibiting political dynasties.

In its August 26, 2026 ruling, the Court held that the constitutional command to prohibit political dynasties is not merely aspirational. While Congress retains the authority to define what constitutes a political dynasty and determine the scope of the prohibition, it cannot indefinitely defer the enactment of the law contemplated by the Constitution.

The ruling underscores a fundamental principle of constitutional law: a constitutional command carries legal force and cannot be rendered ineffective through prolonged inaction.
