Baguio City officially launched Pride Month with a meaningful gathering of community leaders, advocates, government partners, allies, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, reaffirming the cityโs commitment to equality, inclusion, and human dignity for all.
The program opened with an inspiring message from Ms. Van Sanchez, Policy and Advocacy Lead of the Cordillera Pride Community Leaders, who emphasized the importance of continuing the fight for equal rights, representation, and safe spaces where every individual can live authentically and without fear. The launch served as a reminder that Pride is not just celebration, but a movement rooted in advocacy, visibility, and empowerment.
Following the launch, the 3rd LGBT Regional Session was also held at the Session Hall, Baguio City Hall bringing together stakeholders and advocates to discuss pressing issues, strengthen partnerships, and advance initiatives that promote inclusivity and protect the rights and welfare of LGBTQIA+ communities across the Cordillera region.
As Pride Month unfolds, everyone is invited to take part in the series of activities prepared to celebrate diversity, foster understanding, and build a more inclusive society.
