On May 9, 2026, the Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands conducted its Strategic Planning Session at Brent Clubhouse, marking the first meeting of the newly elected Board of Directors under the leadership of President Glorito Marasigan.

The session focused on setting goals, strengthening fellowship, and crafting plans that will guide the club's service projects and initiatives for Rotary Year 2026–2027. With a shared vision and commitment to Service Above Self, the new leadership team is ready to build on past successes and create an even greater impact in the community.

RCBH Completes Challenging Trek for Turnover of Dalican Water Tank Project- Water for Life, Water for Peace

DALICAN, Mountain Province — What began as a long and demanding trek ended as a powerful reminder of the true meaning of service as members of Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands (RCBH) successfully turned over the Dalican Water Tank Project to the community of Dalican.

The journey to Dalican Elementary School required nearly one hour and forty minutes of walking through steep mountain trails under intense heat. Despite the physical challenges, including fatigue and dizziness experienced by some participants, the group pressed on, inspired by senior citizen members who completed the trek with determination and resilience. Along the way, Rotarians gained a deeper appreciation of the daily realities faced by residents who have long traveled the same paths to access essential resources, particularly clean water.

The completion and turnover of the water tank mark a significant step toward improving water accessibility for the community. More than an infrastructure project, the water tank represents hope, health, dignity, and opportunity for the families it will serve. The warm welcome from students, teachers, and community members upon the team's arrival underscored the importance of the initiative and the impact it will have on future generations.

For RCBH, the experience served as a reminder that meaningful service often requires sacrifice and perseverance. While the journey was difficult, the smiles of the beneficiaries affirmed that every step was worth taking. The Dalican Water Tank now stands as a symbol of collaboration, compassion, and Rotary's enduring commitment to its mission: Water for Life. Water for Peace.

Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands Recognized for Support to Rizal Elementary School

The Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands was awarded a Certificate of Recognition by Rizal Elementary School during its Brigada Eskwela Program in appreciation of its significant contributions to the school's development. The recognition highlighted the club's donation of three comfort rooms for male learners, three comfort rooms for female learners, one handwashing sink, and one Smart TV, all of which have greatly enhanced the school's facilities and learning environment during School Year 2025–2026.

The recognition was presented as part of the school's effort to acknowledge stakeholders and partners who have contributed to improving school facilities and promoting a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for learners. Brigada Eskwela aims to bring together stakeholders, parents, teachers, learners, and community members in the spirit of bayanihan, and the Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands remains a valued partner in advancing quality education and supporting the growth and development of Rizal Elementary School.

Members of RCBH attended the Club Learning Seminar held at Chavit Coliseum, Tamag, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur. The seminar gathered club leaders and members for a day of learning, collaboration, and fellowship aimed at strengthening leadership, service, and community engagement. Participants actively joined the discussions and activities designed to enhance knowledge and inspire meaningful service initiatives.

The event also became an opportunity for RCBH members to build stronger camaraderie and unity while sharing experiences with fellow participants from different clubs and organizations. Through the seminar, attendees gained valuable insights and renewed motivation to continue serving their communities with dedication, teamwork, and compassion.
