In celebration of World Polio Day, the Rotary Club of Malolos Hiyas presents this video to give a voice to polio survivors who, despite the challenges brought about by this debilitating disease, have persevered in their pursuit of self-fulfillment, independence, and meaningful service to others. Through their unique gifts, talents, and abilities, they continue to demonstrate that physical limitations do not define a person’s worth or potential.
Ehds, an End Polio Now Warrior of the Rotary Club of Malolos Hiyas from Paombong, Bulacan, calls on the government to uphold the rights of persons with disabilities and provide them with equal opportunities for gainful employment. She urges society to look beyond disability and recognize their capabilities, achievements, and positive contributions to the community.
Inspired by Ehds and countless others like her, the Hiyas ladies stand in solidarity with the global community in championing the cause of a polio-free world.
Together, let us continue to raise awareness, empower polio survivors, and unite in the call to End Polio Now!
