April 28, 2026 | BAMARVEMPCO 5th Year Anniversary

The Baguio Family and Friends Lions Club joined the celebration of the 5th Year Anniversary of BAMARVEMPCO held at the Public Market, Baguio City, by providing free community health services to members and market-goers.

In partnership with Angelita Gayados and BAMARVEMPCO, the activity offered pulse oximeter reading, blood pressure monitoring, and glucose screening to promote health awareness and preventive care among beneficiaries.

Through this initiative, the team successfully served:

* **85 beneficiaries for Blood Pressure Monitoring**
* **79 beneficiaries for Glucose Monitoring**
* **18 beneficiaries for Pulse Oximeter Monitoring**

The outreach reflected the club’s continued commitment to accessible healthcare, community wellness, and meaningful partnerships through service.

April 25, 2026 | Bulilit Gulayan Awarding

The Baguio Family and Friends Lions Club participated in the Bulilit Gulayan Awarding held at Malcolm Square, Baguio City, in partnership with Betty Lourdes Tabanda.

As part of the activity, the team conducted free glucose screening and blood pressure monitoring for participants and attendees while celebrating and awarding the winners of the Bulilit Gulayan initiative.

Through this outreach, the club was able to serve **10 individuals through glucose screening** and **15 individuals through blood pressure monitoring**, combining health awareness with community recognition and support.

The activity reflected the importance of promoting wellness, nutrition, and community involvement through collaborative service initiatives.

April 24, 2026 | Turnover of Trash Bins

In line with the observance of Environment Service Week, the Baguio Family and Friends Lions Club conducted a turnover of trash bins at Children’s Park, Burnham Park, Baguio City to promote proper waste disposal and environmental responsibility.

Through this initiative, the club aimed to support the cleanliness, sustainability, and preservation of one of the city’s most visited public spaces by encouraging park-goers to practice proper waste management.

This project was made possible through the support of ZC/Pres. Steffi Anne Bautista and 8PMJF, whose generous contribution helped fund the procurement and installation of the trash bins.

The project covered:

Trash Bins – ₱38,388
Logo Printing – ₱10,200
Biscuits – ₱490

with a total project cost of ₱49,078 from the ₱50,000 donation extended for the initiative.

The activity also reflected the collective efforts of volunteers dedicated to promoting environmental awareness and community stewardship during Environment Service Week.

April 24, 2026 | Visit to Busol Watershed

The Baguio Family and Friends Lions Club joined a meaningful visit to the Busol Watershed, one of Baguio City’s most vital environmental resources and primary water sources.

Together with partner organizations including Baguio Pines City Lions Club, Baguio Maharlika Dynamics Lions Club, Baguio New Horizon Lions Club, and Baguio Burnham Lions Club, participants gained a deeper appreciation of the watershed’s role as the city’s “green lung.”

Walking through the Benguet pine forest, volunteers witnessed how the watershed naturally captures rain and mist, helping provide clean water to Baguio City while preserving biodiversity and ecological balance.

The activity emphasized the importance of environmental protection, sustainability, and collective responsibility in safeguarding natural resources for future generations.

A total of 254 Lion volunteers and 13 non-Lion volunteers participated in the activity, rendering approximately 12 volunteer service hours in support of environmental awareness and conservation efforts.

April 24, 2026 | Zone 1 Tree Planting Activity

The Baguio Family and Friends Lions Club participated in the Zone 1 Tree Planting Activity held at Busol Watershed, Baguio City, organized by the Baguio Pines City Lions Club.

Together with fellow Lions Clubs including Baguio Maharlika Dynamics Lions Club, Baguio New Horizon Lions Club, and Baguio Burnham Lions Club, volunteers took part in planting pine tree seedlings to help promote environmental sustainability, protect natural resources, and contribute to climate action efforts.

The activity successfully supported the planting initiative through donated pine tree seedlings and volunteer participation, reinforcing the importance of environmental stewardship, teamwork, and shared community responsibility.

A total of 16 Lion volunteers and 9 non-Lion volunteers rendered approximately 67.5 volunteer service hours during the activity.

The initiative was further supported through donations including:

40 Pine Tree Seedlings from Baguio Pines City Lions Club
45 Pine Tree Seedlings from Betty Lourdes Tabanda
1 case of SIP Bottled Water from 1Loyalty

Additional expenses for transportation and snacks amounted to ₱8,590, with biscuit funds sourced from the Trash Bins fund allocation.

Through activities like this, we continue to nurture not only trees, but also a stronger sense of environmental responsibility and community unity.
