CHRONICLES OF A MISSIONARY TEACHER

Text - Romans 12:3-8, 1 Corinthians 10:17, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27

The reasons why the enemy causes hurts, divisions, strife, and confusion amongst believers in our various churches are:
1. To disrupt the flow of the network plan of God for humanity [ God has designed life to be a network of interdependence. Someone's strength, faith, giftings, service, and anointing are given by the Lord to be a blessing to one another ] 1 Corinthians 12:7
2. To break the spirit of intercession [ When believers are hurt and continue to hold grudges against, they end up loosing the zeal to pray for one another, the leadership, workers and new membership of a local church ]
3. To cause believers of a local church to fall under God's judgement [ The greatest desire of the enemy is to see believers stand in the way of God's purpose by their deeds and then eventually face the Lord’s wrath ]
We thank God for the grace and mercy we have received through our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
4. To defame the sanctity, significance, and essence of the Christian faith [ Any volume of hurts, divisions, strife, and confusion found in a local church causes that family of believers to loose the right posture that will attract unbelievers and other fellow believers to worship and serve the lord with them ]
5. To make the church hostile towards the move of God [ A divided church disrupts the move of God ]

CHRONICLES OF A MISSIONARY TEACHER

There are two areas in the body of Christ as far as ministry is concerned that the church seems to be gradually drifting away from. And I believe that it's a result of believers today wanting to be accorded a certain level of recognition and also the desire to exhibit power in the areas of giftings giving regards to the offices of the five-fold ministerial callings.

The two areas are:
1. The call of intercession and
2. The call of being a faithful assistant

The call of intercession and the call of being a faithful assistant thrive through the virtues of having:
1. Genuine love for God derived from a personal encounter or revelation of Him [ purpose driven ] ( 1 John 3:16 )
2. Love for the people we have been assigned to ( 1 Corinthians 13:1-8 )
3. The genuine desire to see people saved and equally blessed in the land of the living ( Psalms 35:27 )

The challenges of the call of intercession and the call of being a faithful assistant are as follows:
1. Destructions
2. The temptations of power-play dynamics
3. Spousal, family, and personal burdens [ care for needs and wants ]
4. The temptation of craving for recognition
5. The claws of familiarity and unhealthy entitlements
6. The direct attacks of the adversary that engages warfare

The benefits of the call of intercession and the call of being a faithful assistant are as follows:
1. Eternal reward from God
2. Ensures ministerial balance
3. Protects the sanctity of the call of God
4. Encourages the culture of loyalty and honesty
5. It promotes genuine service and builds trust amongst believers
6. It draws divine attention to a home, family, church, community, and nation
7. It invites a covenant establishment into a home, family, church, and nation

■ The journey of ministry can be overwhelming sometimes, and that is why God calls others to stand with us so that the weight of the burdens can be shared and lonely days can be aided. This is what the call of being a faithful assistant is about. God has a unique way of using people to sustain people.

■ The call of intercession has to do with people being given the mandate to stand between the gap as being gate keepers for families, the church, nations, and the world as a whole. It is their duties to ensure that the alter of prayer for people of different walks of life are always being offered and the incense being burned before the Lord continually at every given opportunity.
The priest - Aaron was given to Moses as a faithful assistant, and Elisha was also given to Elijah as a faithful assistant. However, I believe with no shadow of doubt that the greatest call is the call of intercession. (Ephissians 1:20-23), (Romans 8:34). Our lord and saviour Jesus Christ makes intercession for us before the father continually.
So it's a great deal to be called into the place of intercession by the Lord. God uses people to execute His plans in the human domain.

Naturally, proximity always has the tendency to break rules, reduce values, and compromise principles. Respect, integrity, and placing value on relationships for the present and future are the virtues that can save us from the strong waves of familiarity and unhealthy entitlements.

CHRONICLES OF A MISSIONARY TEACHER

Christianity may seem less difficult due to the loving kindness and mercies of God and the finished works of Christ Jesus contained in the package of the grace of atonement. However, one thing is certain: the journey of being saved to the finish line is full of warfare ( Ephissians 6:12 ) , and a lot of sacrifices are to be made in order to attain the crown of glory. ( Romans 12:1-2 ) ( Romans 8:18 )
I believe that the following keys will help us.
1. What we need are power, love, and self-control ( 2 Timothy 1:7 )
2. Prayer, Thanksgiving, and constantly requesting grace from God ( Philippians 4:6 )
3. Trusting and acknowledging God in every decision and plan we make ( Proverbs 3:5-6 ) ( Proverbs 16:3 ) ( Psalms 37:5 ) ( Habakkuk 2:3 )
4. Minding your business and working out your own salvation and fulfilling your ministry to the very end ( Colossians 4:17 ) ( 1 Corinthians 15:58 ) ( Romans 12:3-8 )
5. Constantly in hope, look forward to the eternal glory and reward that awaits you ( Revelation 22:12-13 ) ( 1 Corinthians 15:58 ) ( 2 Timothy 4:7-8 )
