PICPA BBMP Succesfully Holds Financial Literacy & Government Compliance Seminar

The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants-Baguio Benguet Mt. Province (PICPA BBMP) successfully conducted its two-day seminar entitled " A Guide to Financial Literacy and Government Compliance:Navigating BIR, DTI, SEC and BSP Requirements" on February 12-13, 2026 at the elegant Venus Park View Hotel with over 100 participants composed of CPAs, practitioners, enterpreneurs, and finance professionals.

One of the highlights of the seminar was the discussion of the SEC Resource Person on Wealth Management. The session emphasized the importance of sound investment planning, risk assessment, portfolio diversification, and regulatory compliance in wealth-building strategies. A significant portion of the discussion focused on investor protection and avoiding investment scams, equipping participants with the knowledge to identify red flags such as unrealistic returns, unregistered entities and high-pressure sales tactics.

Indeed, this seminar reaffirmed PICPA BBMP's committment to continuous professional development and to equipping its members and stakeholders in today's evolving regulatory landscape.
