PICPA BBMP Brings FATBAS Services to the Community!

As part of the 2026 Accountancy Week Celebration, the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants – Baguio-Benguet-Mt. Province (PICPA BBMP) Chapter successfully conducted its Free Accounting, Taxation, and Business Advisory Services (FATBAS) on 17 July 2026 at the BAMARVA Office with Baguio's market vendors.

This meaningful outreach reflects PICPA's unwavering commitment to extending professional expertise beyond the accounting profession by providing free accounting, taxation, and business advisory assistance to community members, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders. Through FATBAS, PICPA BBMP continues to promote financial literacy, tax compliance, and sound business practices while strengthening its partnership with the community.

Strengthening Partnerships for Better Taxpayer Service

As part of the 2026 Accountancy Week Celebration, the officers of PICPA Baguio-Benguet-Mt. Province (BBMP) Chapter and the NLR Senior Regional Director, Constancia O. Molintas paid a courtesy call on BIR-CAR Regional Director Sir Joseph Catapia to reaffirm the strong partnership between the accounting profession and the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the BIR's latest programs and initiatives, including Buwis Buddy, the new Tax Mate, and other taxpayer-focused projects aimed at improving tax education, compliance, and public service.

Regional Director Catapia likewise expressed his full support for PICPA BBMP's FATBAS (Free Accounting, Taxation, and Business Advisory Services), recognizing its significant contribution in providing free professional assistance to taxpayers, entrepreneurs, and the community.

PICPA BBMP is grateful for the warm reception and unwavering support of the BIR-CAR as we continue to work together in promoting tax awareness, ethical accountancy practice, and meaningful public service.

Day 3- Accountancy Week Celebration

Stronger together. Better together.

Today, July 14, 2026, the officers of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Northern Luzon Region and the Baguio-Benguet-Mountain Province (BBMP) Chapter commenced a series of courtesy visits to LGUs and various government agencies as part of the celebration of National Accountancy Week. The visits also introduced the chapter's new leadership and reaffirmed PICPA's commitment to strengthening partnerships within the accountancy profession.

More importantly, this initiative carries a message that extends to all Certified Public Accountants—whether in public practice, commerce and industry, government, education, or the academe. We warmly invite every CPA to actively participate in PICPA's programs, professional development activities, community initiatives, and fellowship events. Together, we can cultivate a stronger, more vibrant, and more united profession.
