After three years of dedicated work, the anthology "Dad-dad-at di I-Tadian" [Folktales for the Environment from the People of Tadian] was officially presented and turned over to the schools and community on September 19, 2025 at Tadian Central School, Mt. Province!

What started in 2022 as CGN's environmental education project grew into a cultural journey- collecting folktales from elders, bringing them to life through children's art, and now published as a book.

The ceremony was graced by educator editors, school heads, teachers, students and cultural partners, featuring live storytelling and an artworkshop. Elders shared their pride and joy in seeing the Tadian folktale stories preserved and returned as a lasting treasure for the community. They expressed their gratitude to the project and pleaded for the book to be valued as part of Tadian's identity.

A total of 625 copies were turned over to 19 schools of DepEd Tadian District I, giving the students new reading materials that connect culture, tradition, and care for the environment, and to serve as valuable resources for the Department's ARAL Program.

CGN extends it's hearfelt gratitude to the LGU - Tadian, DepEd Tadian District I, school heads, teachers, students and elders. Big appreciation to every member of the project team whose wisdom, dedication and hardwork made this endeavor possible. Truly, when stories are shared, culture lives on!

CGN intern Kurumi Ihara has written a blog post reporting on the visit to Aichi Prefecture in July 2025 by the theater group Aanak di Kabiligan, who came from Mankayan in Benguet Province. Kurumi provided English translation（Below Japanese text).

Four coffee farmers from Tadian, Mountain Province, and CGN staff visited a coffee farm and the headquarters of Klasik Beans, a coffee farmers' cooperative, on Java Island, Indonesia. This project was part of the Sustainable Coffee in Asia Connected by Migratory Birds project led by the Japanese NPO バードリサーチBird Research (Toyota Foundation International Grant).
The visitors from Tadian were greatly inspired by the healthy coffee trees and the community-based activities involving young farmers. We at CGN hope that the farmers in Tadian will share their knowledge and experiences with others and aim to become a model for sustainable coffee cultivation in the Philippines.

The three-year environmental education project based on folktales ( funded by the Resona Foundation for Asia and Oceania) concluded in fiscal 2024 (March 2025). The project team have conducted interviews with local residents in Tadian, Mountain Province; Hungduan, Ifugao Province; and Lubuagan, Kalinga Province, to collect folktales. They shared the recorded videos on YouTube, the audio on Spotify's Podcast, and the transcriptions on Medium.
Additionally, two books were produced as educational materials for environmental education. This month, the folktale picture book “Walihon and Putwigingon,” which was printed in Japan based on the folktales collected in Hungduan, was delivered to Baguio City by the members of the theater group “Aanak di Kabiligan,” who visited Japan earlier this month. George Rosales, illustrater of this book, plans to deliver the books to the children of Hungduan shortly.

コーディリエラ・グリーン・ネットワーク（CGN）が3年間にわたって実施してきた民話をテーマとした環境教育プロジェクトは2024年度（2025年3月）に終了しました。
プロジェクトチームは、マウンテン州のタジャン、イフガオ州のフンドゥアン、カリガン州のルブアガンで地域の方々へのインタビューを実施し、民話を収集しました。収集した語りの動画はYouTubeで、音声はSpotifyのポッドキャストで、文字起こしはMediumで公開しました。
さらに、環境教育用の教材として2冊の書籍が制作されました。フンドゥアンで収集された民話をもとに制作され日本で印刷された絵本『ワリホンとプトウィギゴン』は、今月初めに日本を訪問した演劇グループ「Aanak di Kabiligan」のメンバーによってバギオ市に届けられました。(ありがとう！)
この本のイラストを担当したジョージ・ロサレスさんは、近日中にフンドゥアンの子供たちにこの絵本を届ける予定です。

愛知県長久手市モリコロパークで開催中の「愛・地球博20祭」における、コーディリエラ・グリーン・ネットワーク（CGN）の企画による演劇公演と、コーディリエラ地方の歌と踊りのパフォーマンスは無事に終了しました。
この企画のためにベンゲット州マンカヤン町の鉱山の村で結成された「アナク・ディ・カビリガンAanak di Kabiligan」（カンカナイ語で「山の子どもたち」の意）は、12歳から19歳までの先住民（カリンガ族とカンカナイ族）の学生さんたちによるグループです。
2025年の7月5日（土）と6日（日）の2日間のイベント期間中は35度を超える酷暑。初めての海外渡航での緊張の中、それでも、子どもたちは屋外での4回のステージと、地球市民交流センターでの環境フォーラム「NABA-スマホとゴールド」公演を見事にやり遂げました。
若さと集中力、そして自分たちの伝統の歌や踊り、そして村の抱える問題について伝えたいという熱意はあっぱれでした。
アナク・ディ・カビリガンのメンバーたちは、日本到着後も連日のリハーサルに加え、人員不足の会場づくりのお手伝いなどでも大活躍。愛・地球博が開催された2005年には生まれていなかった若い力を惜しみなくシェアしてくれました。自分たちの出番以外でも、世界各地からの演者のパフォーマンスをすべて熱心に鑑賞し、時には飛び入り参加し、積極的にパフォーマーたちに話しかけて交流をしていました。
このイベントのプログラムの一つであった山極寿一さんと関野吉晴さんの対談で、山際さんが「共感を呼ぶには空気を共鳴させなければいけない。それには歌とダンスなんですよ」と話していましたが、それを体現する場面が、アナク・ディ・カビリガンのメンバーによって会場のあちこちで繰り広げられていました。
アナク・ディ・カビリガンは2日間の名古屋と常滑での観光を楽しみ、すでにフィリピンに戻りました。今回、公演を支える音楽・映像や背景幕などの創作を行った3人のアーティストは、神戸、京都、長野（上田＆朝日村）のCGNサポーターたちのところを訪れたのち、15日に帰比します。
東京、長野、京都、沖縄などから駆けつけてくれたCGNの演劇プロジェクトのボランティア、今回長久手で出会ったサポーターの皆様にも心より感謝いたします。
