Rotaract Club of Baguio SLU-School of Medicine RAC Baguio SLU-SOM is non-profit service club led by the Medical Student Rotaractors of Saint Louis University - School of Medicine.

Future Physician Leaders that make a big impact serving the community with a heart! The effort to bring peace and international understanding to the world starts at the community level but knows no limits in its outreach. Rotaract clubs organize a variety of projects and activities, depending primarily on the interests of the club members. However, within the Rotaract program, all clubs undertake

three types of activities in varying degrees: professional development, leadership development, and service projects. Together, these three areas ensure a balanced club program and provide important experience and opportunities for the personal development of each Rotaractor.

Our club fostered a culture of gratitude and kindness through our Valentine’s project, Hearts On Call, by distributing “Sweet Rx in a Bag” to school staff and advisers. Each kit, containing mini dried flowers, heart bag charms, cookies, and personalized letters, was thoughtfully prepared and shared to express appreciation and strengthen relationships within our community. The Rotaract Club of Baguio – Saint Louis University School of Medicine successfully participated in the Kidcetera Hearts Initiative, a dental mission held at Children’s Park, Burnham, Baguio 🌳 dedicated to the children of the city’s vendors. In partnership with KidCetera Events and Travel and volunteer dentists from Petten Dental Clinic, the initiative provided free dental check-ups, basic treatments, and essential oral health education. 🪥✨

Beyond providing immediate dental care, the mission focused on prevention by teaching children aged 2–12 proper toothbrushing, flossing, and oral hygiene practices. Through interactive learning and compassionate service, the project empowered young beneficiaries with lifelong habits that promote healthy smiles and overall well-being. 😁

With 50 children served, this initiative highlights the power of collaboration in expanding access to healthcare, strengthening community support, and investing in a healthier future for the next generation. 🤝🌱

The Rotaract Club of Baguio – Saint Louis University School of Medicine, in collaboration with KidCetera Events and Travel and the Baguio City Public Library, took part in a heartwarming Storytelling in the Park event at Children’s Park, Burnham Park on January 31, 2026. Designed especially for the children of Baguio’s hardworking vendors, the activity brought stories to life through interactive storytelling and joyful singing—creating a space where learning, imagination, and laughter came together.

Beyond the fun and entertainment, the initiative aimed to nurture early literacy, creativity, and positive values among children aged 2 to 12 years old. By introducing them to the joy of books and storytelling, the event encouraged curiosity, kindness, and a love for learning—while giving families access to enriching educational experiences in a welcoming community space.

Through meaningful collaboration and shared purpose, the activity highlighted how public spaces, books, and community partnerships can inspire young minds and strengthen connections within the community. The Rotaract Club of Baguio – Saint Louis University School of Medicine, in partnership with KidCetera Events and Travel, carried out a meaningful community outreach at Children’s Park, Burnham Park, Baguio City on January 31, 2026. This initiative was dedicated to the children of Baguio’s hardworking vendors, providing free medical consultations, basic health assessments, and essential medicines, alongside a heartfelt gift-giving activity.

More than just a medical mission, the project served as a gesture of gratitude to the vendors who contribute so much to the daily life of the city. Through the collective effort of partners and volunteers, 50 children aged 2–12 received blankets, toys, clothes, school supplies, and other essentials—bringing not only care for their health but also warmth, joy, and encouragement.

By combining healthcare, compassion, and community support, the initiative highlighted the importance of inclusive care while strengthening the bond between civic organizations and local families.
