Matagumpay na naisagawa ang 2nd Quarterly Meeting ng 1PawiCAN ngayong ika-26 ng Hunyo 2026 sa Millennial Hall, Brgy. Lamao, Limay, Bataan, katuwang ang Limay P*P Group (Petron, LGU Limay, Brgy. Lamao, at Brgy. Luz).

Nagbigay ng pambungad na pananalita si Kapitana Leila Cruz, sinundan ng mensahe mula kay Mayor Richie David. Ang pagpupulong naman ay pinangunahan ni Cong. Gila Garcia, Pangulo ng 1PawiCAN.

Isa-isang ibinahagi ng mga miyembrong organisasyon ang kanilang 2nd Quarter Accomplishment Report, mga susunod na hakbang, at mga paghahandang isinasagawa para sa panahon ng Habagat.

Tinalakay rin sa pagpupulong ang Renewal of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), ang Pawikan Database Update na inilahad ni Sir Albert Tria ng BPSU-iDiSCoVER, at ang House Bill No. 7800, na naglalayong ideklara ang pawikan bilang flagship species ng Lalawigan ng Bataan at kilalanin bilang critical habitat ang mga nesting sites nito sa Mariveles, Bagac, at Morong. Layunin nitong higit pang mapalakas ang pangangalaga sa pawikan sa pamamagitan ng climate-resilient coastal management at sustainable blue economy.

Patuloy na nagkakaisa ang 1PawiCAN members at ang mga katuwang nitong organisasyon upang pangalagaan ang ating mga pawikan at ang kanilang likas na tirahan para sa susunod na henerasyon. 🌊💚

🐢🌊 TERRAGUARD 2026: A Love for Sea Turtles That Creates Lasting Impact 🌊🐢

Last February 14–15, 2026, the Rotaract Club of New Rise Kalookan North successfully conducted the 3rd Year of TERRAGUARD, highlighted by the unveiling of our Shell-evation Project — a meaningful initiative dedicated to the protection and conservation of sea turtles.

In celebration of the Month of Love, we chose to express our love in a deeper and more purposeful way, by standing as advocates for our beloved pawikans. While many celebrate love for one another, we extended that love to the sea, committing ourselves to safeguard one of its most precious and vulnerable creatures.

Sea turtles play a vital role in maintaining the balance of marine ecosystems. However, they continue to face threats such as pollution, habitat destruction, and climate change. Through TERRAGUARD, we aim to raise awareness, strengthen conservation efforts, and contribute to the protection of nesting grounds and hatchlings to ensure their safe journey back to the ocean.

This impactful initiative was made possible in partnership with Pag-asa Pawikan Protection and Conservation Center Corp., whose dedication to preserving marine life continues to inspire communities to take action for our environment. Together, we reaffirm our shared mission of protecting our shores and promoting sustainable practices that benefit future generations.

As we mark our third year of TERRAGUARD, we remain committed to being guardians of the sea, protecting life, preserving nature, and creating lasting impact. 💚✨
